These boots have great traction on slippery ice and snow. They feel very solid and safe. For comfort, I would rank them 4 of 5 stars, which may change as they break in. For right now, they feel good standing still, but make walking feel a bit awkward. Something about the way they hold my ankles I think. They aren't too heavy, and seem to be waterproof and warm enough for temps in the 16* - 30* F range.Wish that the boots had hooks instead of eyelets for the top pair or two of lace holes. The laces are long enough when tying them, but when you expand the boots enough to make it easy to remove them or put them on, the laces slip back through the first set of holes always and often the second set as well. They are good laces, but it does make it more tedious than needed to lace up the boots, and I worry that the plastic aglets will fray or break from the added wear of threading and unthreading.Looks is the least important thing about a boot, but these are definitely "boot-looking". The last pair of low boots I had looked more like hiking boots. I wouldn't have called them dressy, but it didn't necessarily look out of place if you were wearing them with a pair of khaki pants. In these you are definitely wearing bad weather boots.

Firstly, the boots are great, the fit is true to size, with regular office socks. I’ve had Sorel Cheyenne duck boots before which are larger, so treat these differently. If you’re going to wear them with thick winter socks then you’ll need to size up.Some of the complaints about the previous versions of the boot appear to have been addressed; no leather laces and the tongue gusset is now a faux leather instead of canvass, and reducing water penetration.Could go the next step and have a couple of speed lacing rows to help with putting them on.I have yet to test them in wet conditions, but I’ll get that opportunity soon enough. The item is listed as Taupe and Navy, but the photo shows the Olive and Black boots! The taupe is on the light beige side, not massively unattractive so I’ll keep them, but annoyed that they are not as shown.

I absolutely love my Sperry Men's Cold Bay Boots! These boots are not only stylish, but they are also incredibly functional. The leather and synthetic materials are high quality, and the boots are waterproof, which is great for rainy or snowy days. The fleece lining and 200g Thinsulate insulation keep my feet warm and cozy, even in the coldest temperatures.I also appreciate the non-marking outsole with no-slip traction, which provides great stability and prevents slips and falls. The lace-up closure is secure and ensures a snug fit, so I never have to worry about my boots slipping off or getting loose. These boots are perfect for any outdoor adventure, whether it's hiking, camping, or simply walking around town. They look great with any outfit and provide the perfect blend of style and functionality. Overall, I highly recommend the Sperry Men's Cold Bay Boots to anyone in need of a reliable and stylish pair of boots.

I bought these boots because my wife recently bought a pair similar to these. We moved from the Pacific Northwest to Nebraska, and it gets a lot colder and snowier here. I have worn those boots when it has been 23 below zero shoveling snow and they keep the moisture and cold out. My tootsies couldn't be happier. I also got a great price through Smile Amazon, which allows me to contribute to my favorite cause with each purchase.

I've been wanting a pair of duck boots for a while now. I like the look and practicality. The fit on these boots was perfect for me (I'm an 8.5). The boots are comfortable, with a decent amount of padding inside. They keep your feet warm and dry in the winter; I live in the Midwest where it gets very cold. They are easy to clean. I shoveled a foot of snow in these things at a vacation spot in upper Michigan and had no problems. I've also taken these out on long walks in the city. The quality thus far has been great. I can't recommend them enough.

I ordered these for a trip to Jackson Hole in the late winter. I wore these daily for a week as there was still some snow and slush around and it was still cold. I ordered the same size I normally wear and wore them with a pair of mid weight wool socks and the fit was spot on. No issues. Wore these hiking in the Grand Teton National Park on snow and ice and slush and my feet stayed warm and dry and I had outstanding traction. Hiked a total of 6 miles plus other walking around for the week and have zero complaints. They look great with jeans or chinos and didn’t even raise an eyebrow when wearing them into some of the nicer restaurants in the area. We will see how they hold up over time but I’m impressed so far.

When boots first arrived, I put on my thick wool socks, could barely get my feet in them. They were tight everywhere and even hurt my shins. I wore them for about 2 hours and had to take them off, they hurt so much.I put shoe trees on and made them tight. Left the trees in for a few days, the wore them for another few hours, better.Trees again, then on weekend took dog for several mile walk in the boots.Comfortable, supportive and feet felt great the whole time.Excellent craftsmanship and look. Just need to be broken in well.

The shoes are very warm even with our area having bitterly cold weather for the past month. Wore them out in the snow/cold for a couple hours and my feet stayed dry. There’s enough room in the toe that your foot doesn’t feel smushed even with thicker socks on. They are very stylish and can be worn with jeans or used for shoveling snow in sweatpants. As a couple people mentioned they are only water/snow proof to a certain degree. The tongue of the boot isn’t sealed up through the lace area so hypothetically wetness could enter there. I haven’t worn them in snow depths more than 4” yet but it’s still early in the winter season so that will change. They are also perfectly broken in straight from the box unlike most Sperry boat shoes where it takes time to get truly comfortable.Shoes are a little bulky but that’s the only con
