This is very elegant, with a classic Italian-looking design. It's made of a thin, light porcelain, and is a relatively small dish. The size would be good for small appetizers, like bruschetta or antipasti, or as a side plate for a single person. It's quite small to function as a serving plate for an entire party. Another thing to note is that the edges are quite high, so it's good for serving things that might roll around, like olives.

The Spode Blue Italian Brocato Diamond Dish is made of porcelain, but it is still dishwasher and microwave safe. This piece is just the right size for serving small side dishes, appetizers, condiments like pickles, or nuts. This blue and white dish would also look lovely on nightstand to hold eyeglasses and small items.
