I really like this bowl. I got one for each of my dogs. I definitely didn’t want them to have plastic, but my male loves to pick his stainless bowl up and drop it on the floor dramatically when he wants food. This bowl is heavy and it cannot be picked up or pushed over (at least by my corgi).

This didn’t work for my husky. He was able to pick it up and carry it around the yard.

These are well made and are heavy and sturdy. My German Shepherd dog likes to pick up his bowls and turn them over. This can be a pain in the butt so I though these heavy bowls would solve that. It didn't. He's still able to turn these heavy bowls over, even after I epoxied 5-lb weights to them (!). So, though they didn't work for the reason I bought them, they are still excellent food and water serving bowls for your dog. Yes, I would recommend these to a friend, especially if the friend is a dog!

I use it as a water dish for my cat. It’s a perfect size to provide her with water for a few days. Sleek color, blends in and looks nice. Very easy to clean with my other dishes!
