This kit fixed several loose boards in my house under my carpet. Couldn't tell anything and now the floor is quiet as a mouse.

I used all the screws in the kit for a very noisy squeaky floor under carpet. I probably got rid of 75% of the noise. I left a couple of screws too high where I could feel them when I walked over them. I used a hammer to drive them deeper.

It's fairly easy to use, if you can actually find the joist. Seemingly anywhere I ran the joist finder, I "hit a joist". But having run a bunch of the screws in, the floor still squeeks. however, I also know joists shouldn't make up the entire floor... Yet when I ran the joist finder in, and pulled, I pulled the joist finder out of my drill multiple times, yet the screws didn't seem to have much effect. Even when I put my full 210# on my toes next to the drill fixture, and ran the screws until the driver bit stopped driving because of the jig.Jig should be metal.Also, if you choose to use this kit, either use a 1/4" bit adapter, or 2 drills. I did it with one drill, and it sucked.

Recently purchased a home where the master bedroom on the second floor squeaks. I was quoted $700 to fix it. I watched a tutorial and bought this as recommended and fixed it myself for $30. All I needed was drill.

Was debating for a while if I should get this or not. I finally decided to get it and tried to use it to remedy some major squeeks in the Master Bedroom on a carpeted floor. I followed the instructions. Used a stud finder to locate joist and confirmed with their joist finding "tool". I installed several screws along the joist and spaced them 4 inches apart (confirming each screw placement with the tool provided) and also the joist past where the squeek was locatedWhen I installed the screws I bore as much weight as possible to collapse any space between the subfloor and joist until the screw bottomed out in the depth fixture Unfortunately there was no change in the squeek. It still resides in the floor, same location, same quality, same annoying spot. I wished this worked for me and my house built in the early 70s but unfortunately I had no squeek relief.The product had great instructions and seemed easy to use. My ratings are based solely on my experience. Wish I could rate higher but with the outcome I recieved I had to give them a low rating.

My floors are SO much quieter using this system. It’s simple to learn with a little instruction and I can now sneak into or out of my bedroom without my wife knowing!

I wasn’t sure about this, looked too good to be true. It works folks. The hardest part is finding the joist under the carpet because mine was on the second floor and could not see where the joist are located. The instructions say how far to measure from the wall but it wasn’t accurate for my house. I just went until I found one joist and measure 16 inches and found every one after that. It’s a good product and simple fix for an annoying problem.

It helped to secure some sections of my floor. The screw guide broke as I was almost done with my floor. if it was made of metal, it would have been more useful. The screws work as intended. I will look for a replacement for the screw guide. Maybe I will be able to find one made out of metal.
