The very high end ignition I got was missing the pickup ring luckily I was replacing the parts so I was able to use my existing ones. The ignition module looked like it came out of another bike (it was dirty on the mounts) supposed to be Brand New. Lord knows I paid for a new one. Delivery was prompt price was comparable.

I resolve the problem with a grinder, this hi 4 is not made correct, i thought it was not lining up with the sensor, i removed the sensor and it still did not fit. that when I notice that the unit prong were too wide, so i took a grinder to it and remove some mat. and it fit, i reinstalled the sensor and got it to work, I will not be buying anymore hi4 form from S&S, I have a first gen revtech 100 inch motor, I had crane hi4 with no problem in fitment, and revtech and dyna and they all fit no problem. S&S tech support sucks. after the mod its working good now. supper tight fitment.

This is the ill fated Crane Cams Hi4-N ignition system rebranded and repackaged under the S&S Cycle brand. Nothing changed. I bought this system which was way more expensive than others for my 96 inch S&S engine because I wanted the best. What I got was the worst. Installed meticulously using marine shrink tubing for waterproofing and vibration resistance etc. Ran on one cylinder. Call S&S tech support. Ran the gamut of trouble shooting. It's poop send it back for replacement. Get replacement and go through all the installation again at my time and expense. Same thing...ran on one cylinder. Call tech support this time they say it's the wiring on my bike. Hey, I'm not stupid. All my bike supplies this ignition is 12 volt switched power. Can't be my bike. After much argument I finally got my money back. Installed an Ultima ignition system at one third or less the cost of the Hi4-N. Fired up the first time both cylinders and runs great. After searching the web I came to learn that Crane Cams was on the verge of bankruptcy due to quality control issues mainly bunk parts. There was a plethora of complaints about the hi4-N ignition system under the crane cams label. It was a lemon. S&S bought the ignition system rights from Crane Cams put their logo on it and continued to sell the exact same lemon without addressing the issues. S&S may have been great under it's founder but the kids who own the company now are just like the rest of greedy America. All for themselves.
