This package is ideal for deep frying small amounts. You won't want to deep fry a whole batch of donuts, but for a few smaller servings, it's just the right size. It packs away small, though if you want to keep the oil inside, you won't want to keep all the parts on the inside. It is lightweight yet sturdy enough.

My son loves when i make him fresh fries - the whole cutting, soaking, freezing thing - but deep frying can be a hassle. Never wanted a dedicated countertop fryer because I don't use it for a lot else and didn't want to give up the space. I had a fairly nice steel bowl with lid for frying that i was happy with but it's a bit large and there's no great way of managing the oil between uses. While this is marketed towards camping, what drew me to it was the lid that could snap on to store the oil between uses, the integrated fryer basket to make emptying it quicker and easier than using a frying whisk and the smaller size which is large enough to accommodate a couple of cut potatoes but doesn't require a ton of oil to fill and doesn't take a ton of space. On all of those levels, it's a win. The tongs are a nice little bonus. My only real complaint is that the pot itself is pretty thin. As log as we take care of it, I expect it'll last but if we were actually planning to use it for camping, I could se it getting dented and dinged up pretty easily. Having said that, I can also see that for the purposes of camping, you might want something light and easy to carry along with other stuff in a pack while hiking so I guess it's a bit of a double-edged sword there.I'm happy with it. For the quality, the price could maybe be just a little less (currently thirty-six dollars) but it's not bad in actual practice/use on my home glass cooktop.

This is very compact. When ordering, I looked at the dimensions, but this was even smaller than I thought. If this were twice its size, it would be five stars, and I would use it all the time. That said, this set is excellent for camping or if you have a tiny kitchen. The frying capability is only one serving of food at one time, especially if you are using the basket while frying. The way all the pieces fit together and make for easy storage is a plus; overall, cooking in the pot is easy.

Materials not meant to last. Also smaller than expected. If you use it as a deep fryer, you may be able to fit a chicken thigh and a leg just to give you an idea on size. The aluminum is thin and will dent easily. It’s almost as thin as a tin can. I’m not overly strong and I could probably warp it just by pressing on the sides. Definitely not durable.

I like to use dedicated cookware when I am deep frying. This is nice! Also, it's not super big, so it's perfect for smaller portions.

Absolutely love this pan for indoor and outside cooking! Easy to clean not super small or super large can fit about 4-5 chicken thighs at a time. Love this frying pan!

I was really looking forward to using this Stainless Steel Deep Fryer for outdoor cooking, especially with the warmer weather rolling in. While it technically does everything it promises—basket, lid, oil filter screen, etc.—I was honestly a bit let down.First, the size. It’s a bit smaller than I anticipated based on the product photos and description. It’s fine for small batches, but if you’re planning to fry for more than one or two people or even cook larger items, be prepared to do it in rounds.Second, the quality. The stainless steel feels thinner than I expected, and the basket doesn’t feel super sturdy when full. It works, but I wouldn't call it "heavy-duty" by any means. It gets the job done for casual use, but I’m not sure how well it’ll hold up over time with repeated cooking or high-heat frying like it is intended to do.That said, it is lightweight and portable, and I do appreciate the oil filter screen—it’s a nice touch for keeping things cleaner. Just temper your expectations a bit if you're looking for a long-term or more professional-grade fryer.
