I stuck grains and hops into these (three of them) and tossed them into a gallon of water in a 12qt stock pot. Got perfect results in steeping. Took them out when done and no mess left floating in the wort.

Bought for cold brew. Works well for the purpose however the mesh material it’s made of is very cheaply assembled. When I went to wash it before use I got mesh splinters from tiny non visible pieces that were sticking out at the seam. My concern is not only that I’ll hurt myself cleaning it but that these same tiny shards may be entering the beverage I am brewing!
