Broke on the first fish. I wanted to get I to fly fishing so I picked this rod up because it was cheap. Unfortunately cheap is cheap and it didn't hold up. Very first fish I hooked it snapped. Luckily I still got my trout it was only a 1 pound fish and this rod just wasn't up to the job

Inexpensive rod. While I understand the light weight, the action is very slow/sloppy. I got just what I paid for, so I can accept that.

I can remember not to long ago before Amazon, rods of this quality were much more expensive. This is an excellent performing graphite rod. You can get this in a rod reel combo or just the rod. You can also get just rod with extra tip section. The handle has the appearance of carbon fiber but i believe as the article says its just a wrap. If you're just getting into fly fishing or have some experience this is a great rod for all at an incredible value.

I am a long time angler but new to fly fishing and wanted to start with something light and not terribly expensive. This rod seems to be a good quality for fish up to the size of large mouth bass/trout which is perfect for the creeks around me. The case makes it very easy to store and travel with, and the bit I have used it the action feels fairly fast. I look forward to bending it at the creek for the beginning of trout season.

So we really liked this pole! The castability was pretty good. The size fit me a taller fella well. It looks nice.And the weight felt pretty good in my hand. And it seems to be a great value/budget rod...So if you are just getting into fly fishing...or do not want to spend much...I think this pole is a good choice4.4 out of 5

I've only fished a few times so I got my friend to attempt to teach me about fly fishing. I'm not going into that story, but want to explain he had to help with the feedback because of my pure ignorance and to ensure a helpful review.The Stealth fly fishing rod impressed him with the overall fine quality. "The ferrules fit snuggly together and come apart easily. The guides are bonded to the rod and seem to have several clear coats over them and the rest of the rod blank. The real seat has two tightening nuts which is handy. Definitely a moderate fast rod that will work for swinging streamers in a river or roll casting from a lake shore. A good beginner or experienced angler will enjoy this rod." He'd give it a 9 out of 10 but since that doesn't "fly" here, I had to go with a 4. Personally, I had a blast but was told not to expect to feed myself by fishing anytime soon. And, he's right.

I bought this rod for small creek fishing after struggling to use my 12 foot tenkara rod on a very small creek with trees overhead. I wanted something that was quick to set up and I could use to target fish 6 to 10 feet away. I am very pleasantly surprised by how much I like this rod, even for fishing opportunities that are not so limited in casting space. I fitted it with 4 wt WF line and a small dun and I took it out to a local, smallish river that I've been catching trout at. I hooked a 10-12" brown trout on my second cast and the rod handled it fine (although after a run across the river a poorly tied leader came off my tippet ring and I lost the fish). I've since had it out 2 more times and I really like fishing this rod. It casts very well with lighter dry flies and nymphs, and makes easy "bow and arrow" casts in tighter locations. I also love that it packs down to 18" which means that it can go in my small pack on hikes so I don't miss a fishing opportunity. My only criticisms so far is that I'd prefer to have a cork handle and more traditional snake guides, but honestly the rod performs fine as is. I plan to buy another for my daughter to use in the mountains where she hikes frequently.
