This drill bit set is just wonderful! Considering that I would have had to pay a minimum of $350.00 to have just one hole drilled, I saved greatly by buying this set, and drilling the holes myself.I read one review that was very negative. Said they didn’t work very well. I did not find this to be the case.I planned ahead and brought a pump sprayer filled with water to keep the drill heads damp, wash away the debris, and to keep them cool while drilling. Perfect result! At a moderate speed the bits cut directly through without any trouble. In concrete they cut very well. The only slow down was the rebar in the bottom of the cut that reduced the cut speed. In concrete block they were a little slower, but that could have been due to the hole being a 2.5 in hole in comparrison with a 1.5 in hole.Pros: Inexpensive way to have a drill kit on the truck and care for clean cutting. Very good packaging of the product that will protect the bits well.Cons: The sds adaptor worked, but would not easily come out of the sds receiving chuck. It also was a bit soft, and slightly bent dring the process of drilling the hole. I will be contacting Amazon for a replacement. I will then use a steeel brush to remove the paint on the adaptor in hopes of making it work more easily. Thus the 4 stars rather than 5.One other thing that merits mentioning. The masonry drill bit that fits in the adaptors is not designed for a set screw to hold it in place. At first this concerned me. I then found it a really good thing that is was not such, but was held in with a first and solid twist and push into the adaptor. This was a better design due to the forces that the bit/s experience. I would be very concerned that the bit would have been permanently stuck in place had it spun slightly with the setscrew firmly in place.I would definitley recommend this product to other professional constractors.

Really like this set of drills, have lasted well. Running them with rotohammer is not a problem. Keep the wet though, I ran a pump sprayer with water on them while drilling. Use a big sponge and bucket to keep the mess down. Perfect for getting plumbing through masonry or concrete walls. Used the 2.5" drill to get through a 12" wall, just drill to depth and then break off the core, wash it out and keep going. I don't usually use the center drill, just tip to one side and hold with a wet glove or between your shoes to start. I found it works best to tighten the drills as tight as you can before drilling or they will be almost impossible to get off the mandrels / extension. Drilled more than 20 holes with the 2.5" and it shows no wear on the segments.

Total junk. We needed these bits to drill one hole through a concrete wall. The 2 inch bit did not even make it 1 inch into the wall before being destroyed. One of the fingers on the end of the bit broke off completely. The others were badly worn. All within the first 10 minutes of use. Even worse, the steel that the shank is made of was so soft that it twisted. We have used this type of drill many times & never have had one destroy itself like this one did. Do not buy these bits, they won't get the job done.

Do not listen to these people on Amazon saying bad things about this set. I have put this set through hell. I build pools for a living and build outdoor kitchens. This set has lasted a ton of holes. Drilling through pavers, block, concrete, brick, re-bar. SDS drill move fast and have the hammer accessory or just drill. On SDS mode if you have clue how to use your tools does not need hammer mode. On a plane hammer drill use the hammer mode at low speed. Or a regular drill go slow. NO PROBLEMS! People you are drilling through mortar and portland and aggregate not wood. GO SLOW there is no way even with a wet bore you cannot go fast. And my personal favorite these bits fit on a grinder, again if you know what you are doing they work fabulous! Much better set then the name brand sets I have bought and rebuilt for years. Good Job Mr Manufacturer for once on a China tool.

This set worked well for me. I don't do alot of core drilling so I didn't want to spend alot of money. I drilled through a metal bottom plate, 3 " of concrete and a thin metal plate under the concrete. After doing this I would recommend cutting the bottom plate with a saw or metal cutting wheel on a grinder. But with that said, I drilled 3 holes for 2" electrical metallic tubing (emt) in about 45 minutes. By far the hardest part was getting through the bottom plate. The concrete was pretty easy except for keeping the bit straight. So the holes are not perfectly straight. I tried the hemmed drill first because of the centering bit but found that a heavy duty right angle drill worked better for me. Sorry so long. Hope this helps. One more thing, I used a small spray of water to keep the bit cool.

The bit set does the job okay, but don't count on the pilot bit for any sort of material penetration. I had to buy a real bit (bosch) in order to drill the pilot hole and then open up the hole with this set. The pilot bit is only worthy of holding the coring bit straight.
