I have had no issues with brittleness or clarity; months later, it's still just as clear as the day it was installed, and I've been impressed by the flexibility and durability even when exposed to heat.Worth noting is I am using the fuel line with ethanol free gas; I have no idea if the performance would be different with ethanol.

This fuel line is no good when exposed to engine heat, I installed on a Alpine skidoo and the pulse line kept falling off even with hose clamp when hot. Had to replace all lines that are near engine with other style of hose

Older (90's) Polaris motorsports used a soft rubber hose inside of the gas tanks for gas pickup.The problem is that this soft rubber hose rots and falls apart - only you really need it to work.After getting a 1991 Polaris Snowmobile/snow machine ready to ride, I ended up pulling and pulling and breaking the pull cord trying to start the silly machine.After pulling the carbs and cleaning them, replacing spark plugs and verifying all wiring and then replacing all fuel lines, Found out that it was the silly invisible gas pickup tube inside of the tank that fell apart.I went to many local stores looking for a fuel line soft/flexible enough to do the job but even cheap vinyl tubing was too stiff or would melt in gas.I found this tubing on Amazon,and was suspicions of its flexibility in the cold, but with nothing else to try, I took a gamble.It arrived within days and after installation in the gas tank, it worked exactly as needed.There is some flexibility issue, in that empty isn't totally empty but if you fill up your Polaris machine before hitting 1/4 tank, then you will NEVER run out of gas.If you need replacement, in-tank fuel pickup tubing for a sled, boat, 4 wheeler - this will work.
