This soxhlet works exactly as it should and the glass is very well made with not signs of fatigue or stress. I've used it with high boiling point solvent and even a vaccum distillation with ingredients that require low temps. No complaints

There is something inexplicably satisfying about watching a Soxhlet extractor cycle and this one is no exception. In addition to the gee-whiz factor, this item is nice and heavy-walled with precise ground joints and smooth glass-blowing. I suppose if I were to try to nitpick, the reentry of the gas tube could be a bit higher, and perhaps have a lip over top so condensate wouldn't get in so easily. Other than that, pretty much perfect.

product was shipped with internal water spots, scratches on the glass, and lots of chips at the ground joints. either very low production quality, or I was shipped a used product while paying for new. not happy about that.
