It's basically made of canvas with a thick, plasticy coating on the inside to make it stiffer. It does stand up on its own but it doesn't have any wires in it to hold its shape except around the mouth. That's fine for me but I've only had it for a few months. I don't know how it will be after the plastic coating inevitably starts to break down and the basket softens up. I imagine it will still be usable, if a bit of a pain to fill once it stops standing proud by itself. At any rate it will be better than the pop-up mesh and wire baskets i've been using because those wear through the nylon in a very short time.

I wanted something cute to match my rainbow sewing room and hold my fluff. This is perfect, looks way better then the ugly box and collapses so I can store it when I don’t have any fluff left to store.

This is the 2nd one I have purchased of the same pattern (accidentally got hair dye on it and when moving it got ripped). I really like it, it's pretty durable, not easy to damage. I do think it could stand up on its own better, have more of its own shape to it so that when it's empty it isn't falling over or have a weird shape to it. Overall I really like it and it holds a good amount of items(currently using it for clothes and it fits 1 load, maybe slightly less, but I have a large washer). I would definitely buy more for blankets and things, but probably not toys because of the shape, though I haven't tried that yet.

Pros: Super cute, affordable, easy to clean, sturdy enough and light. Our little toddler loves to put his dirty laundry in it and likes to drag it to the laundry room as a way to be helpful.Cons: still has some wrinkles after it came out of packaging but we don’t mind it.

I was truly impressed by this. The straps looked like a cheaper leather so I was almost positive that they would break on the first load of laundry. However, I have done multiple loads carrying it up and down the stairs with the handles and it’s been sturdy.

It is a little more flimsy than expected but I'm using it for my daughter's laundry,so it works.**UPDATE**I have now had this hamper, juuust shy of 3 years.I cannot express how much I love it! I have around 6 different baskets and It is the ONLY basket that has lasted many trips to our laundry mat.These hampers are cheap and last, such a bargain!
