The cooler is great - it came packaged well and without the dings and dents I saw in other reviews. It looks nice on my back patio and works well. We used it for a party where the Texas sun was beating down on it and the ice was still solid the next morning.But is it worth the potential headache?The rest of my review is about my experience with Sunjoy’s customer service since it was so negative. I’m leaving this up to help anyone who might have an issue with their purchase. If you know ahead of time, you’ll be prepared so your experience won’t drag on forever like mine did.The cooler arrived missing the bottle opener as pictured (it should be attached to those random 2 screws). That’s not the problem - accidents happen.The problem is Sunjoy refusing to send the missing part.I created a ticket on the Sunjoy website, following all directions and giving them the list of information required (including the item number of the cooler, date of purchase and store - Amazon). My first message was “ The cooler is great, it’s just missing the bottle opener.”I received a response 5 minutes later asking a second time for most of the information that was required to open the ticket and a list of information needed for warranty requests. When I went to reply, I found the ticket was closed and had to reopen it.I provided the additional information requested, restated that this wasn’t a warranty issue, and asked why the ticket was closed, (though that question was ignored).What I didn’t give them was the part number of the bottle opener. I explained that the directions were thrown away at that point and I didn’t have it. However, a company that sells products with multiple parts included will have a list of each product and each part associated with the product. If they know the cooler product number (which they do), it isn’t a stretch for them to find the individual bottle opener part number.Days later, the response from Sunjoy asked me for 3 things:1. Information I had already given them2. The part number (that I just told them I didn’t have)3. A copy of the receipt (which, incidentally, is only required for warranty issues)There is no way to attach a receipt to the ticket so I asked for guidance (this question was ignored).I also told them (again) that I didn’t have the part number. After some more back and forth, Sunjoy found the part number, had me verify it, and then insisted that I pay for it. A part they didn’t send with the cooler originally. I was told to pay for their error.I refused to pay for the bottle opener a second time and told them as much.Alas, days later, the response from Sunjoy asked me an again for the receipt and told me it was required for the warranty request. They asked me for this after I clarified twice (when opening the ticket and in my second message) that this wasn’t a warranty issue.After weeks of stalling and circular messaging from Sunjoy, I refused to continue spinning. I promised to report Sunjoy to the BBB and sent a link to this review.The resolution was as infuriating as the rest of the debacle. Exactly 10 minutes later, I received a response with my replacement order number and was told that they’d arrange the shipment ASAP.Which validates what the little voice in the back of my head was saying: the days between replies and repetition of requests and overall stalling was all intentional.It took a BBB mention and Amazon review to get them to help me. I don’t understand why it had to go that far. It’s disappointing that their customer service didn’t begin helpfully. I’d have nothing but positive things to say and likely wouldn’t have even mentioned the missing part.I just wanted the bottle opener that’s included with the cooler and I’m shocked at how difficult it was to get them to correct their mistake.Purchase the cooler if you’re willing to make that Amazon gamble of “maybe it won’t happen this time.” Just be ready to go to the hard place immediately if something crops up so your issue is resolved quickly. In general, be careful when dealing with Sunjoy.As it stands, I waited until I received confirmation that FedEx had the part before updating my review as I don’t trust the company to not continue messing with me.The bottle opener arrived, but the holes didn’t match up with the cooler. Maybe it was the wrong part number (ha!). We finagled it though and it’s on now. Glad the whole mess is over.

This is the cheapest standup cooler I could find. I've always wanted to have one of these for our patio parties. However, I didn't want to spend too much. I have to say the price of this one is really low, taking prime shipping into consideration. It functions well....keeps ice and drinks chilled for at least 24 hrs. That said, you do get what you pay for. Although it was fairly easy to assemble, the holes for the screws weren't perfectly aligned. I managed, but it took some force to get it all together. Also, the unit arrived with a paint chip and two dents as you can see in the photos. They are cosmetic defects, so it's not a big deal to me. But just something to think about. I'd say this is a good buy for someone who has occasional parties and don't care much about appearance. But if you need something more serious and professional, I'd look elsewhere.

All hardware was retapped into its packaging. Multiple paint chips on edges. Had to clean sand out of the cooler. After cleaning the sand, using a sharpie to cover up the chip marks, and using a tap to fix the threads it will work. Pretty disappointing for the money spent. If you don’t mind fixing someone else’s mistakes and are ready for a project get it. If you want a quality product look elsewhere.

Cute and seems outdoor durable. Came with a dent in it, and scratches. Disappointed as it was a Christmas present for my mom. My mom is too nice to get a replacement so she is just going to use it as is. 😒

Seems like a really nice cooler but it arrived damaged. They didn't have the parts in stock to send me to fix it. They did give me a full refund. Customer service was quick to respond.

It was so easy to assemble and I loved that it was sturdy. We had a party in our deck and it look so beautiful! Also it was easy to clean.
