About this item

  • Perfect for emergers and nymphs
  • Slim box fits into almost any pocket
  • Dense slotted foam
  • Durable metal pin hinge

Great for small mayfly and caddis dries, nymph and emergers. Clear lid makes it easy to find your fly before opening the box. The hinge is made of a durable plastic with a metal rod running through the middle. Very thin and slides easily into any pocket or bag. Dense foam holds hooks secure so you don't have to worry on the river.

I admit it, I am addicted to little plastic boxes. I typically have low expectation on the quality, but these are certainly the exception. These are not ultralight weight because of the thicker use of plastic. It makes it much more durable and sturdy. The case is locked securely into place and have the waterproof or water resistant seal. Just make sure you don't put your flies away wet.The latch is curved out making it easy to open. One thing to be aware of is that when it is unlatched, it does sit open due to the seal. You just need to be careful not to tip it and spill the contents. The second photo shows the gap. It is easy to close these one-handed if you have larger hands. They're smaller cases are certainly one hand operated.

Super Slim Waterproof Fly Box Foam Insert Medium Foam A & B, Grey Box, 2 Packi got these as i thought they would be good for er11 collets for micro sized router cnc type bits and what not. i did not get them for fly fishing. sadly for my intended use case they will not work. i have another kindfisher branded box set that will work great, these are too mini fly specific to have alternate uses cases. i think one of the cases will work well with microsd cards so i have found a pretty satisfying use for them. but for the fly fisherman, i think these will be great. i was a bass fisherman in my youth. and "a river runs thru it" was one of my favorite movies as a lad. i even looked at flyfishing for bass. nonetheless, the flies that you would use for bass will not fit into this particular set of boxes, however, for trout flies i think theyll work great. whats fascinating to me is that i think a flyfisherman could carry all of his lures inside these 2 miniaturized boxes, whereas when i was avidly in the pursuit of bass, i would haul maybe 50lbs of gear with me, 50lbs just to cast off shore, if we were in a boat 100lbs. egad. anyway, these little fly boxes are pretty slick, are crystal clear and look like they will hold many flies.

These Kingfisher compact fly fishing boxes are nice quality and made with thick plastic for durability. They have a silicone gasket inset around the top of the base and a long secure latch for a tight fit and waterproof seal. The slotted foam insert is good quality and does not have any chemical smell to it. There is a sturdy hinge which extends the entire length of the box and has a metal rod embedded through it as well as a small hole on one end for use with a thin lanyard. These fly boxes are only 5/8" in height so not much room for flies with lots of hackle but they will work great for tiny dry/wet flies and nymphs. This is a good deal to receive 2 of these boxes for the sale price of $10 and I recommend this product to all other fly fishermen out there.

I really like these slim fly boxes, they're easy to carry in your vest and you can just fill them with likely flies for that day. These boxes are plastic, but seem solid. The closure is a "clamp" that swings over to click and keep the lid firmly on, hopefully it lasts quite a while. I also have the boxes with fixed partitions, but I think I like the foam options best. I ordered one each of the Foam A and B, so I'll see which type I use more often. Both of the foam options allow you to keep much different sized flies in one box - small nymphs, bushy dries, and even streamers. You can't really store the big streamers in a fixed-partition box, so that's an advantage of the foam. Fish on!

These boxes are absolutely perfect for my backcountry excursions whether it's a day trip or multi day. They are lightweight and have a solid closure with metal hinge rods. On trips like that I don't need my entire arsenal of flies and prefer to isolate them into smaller boxes like this. A pair of boxes like this allows me to devote one to nymphs and one for dries. The foam slots work well and keep the flies seated firmly. The silicone (or rubber) seal is well seated on both boxes and provides waterproof protection. Be sure to dry your flies before returning them to the box or these boxes will experience condensation inside. That's good advice for any box you're using but particularly important for watertight boxes like this. They're slim enough to slide into just about any pocket and won't take up much space in a pack. Capacity is what you would expect from a one-leaf box. I love the Kingfisher logo on the lid too! Considering that the current listed price is two boxes for about ten bucks... what are you waiting for? It's an amazingly good deal.

Nice design and high quality materials. Functions very well to hold flies and the closure is secure. Nice compact size for fitting into medium to small pockets. One box works great for streamers, the other is great for dry flies and nymphs.

Yet another great product from Kingfisher fly shop. This pair of fly boxes are just the right size for carrying a a set of dries and a set of nymphs. The foam is 4 mm thick and will hold up to about size 2 hooks. Here in my photo, I have a size 4 and a size 12 flyThe clasp works well and there is a waterproofing gasket around the perimeter. The thickness won't squish even your larger flies like a size 8 stimulator. The plastic they are made from and the hinges are built tough. I like having the nice clear cover so I can see my flies before I even open it. I highly recommend these.

ANother great Kingfisher product. Their fly boxes are my favorite, these are my go-to for bringing flies on the river. I use their bigger, double sided box for storing additional flies.
