The magnets are small and incredibly weak -- SO contrary to the advertised specs. Makes this base unusable. And the mounting plate base is very small as well. This is NOT a product you would want to use on a moving vehicle.

Liked the first one. Bought a second one. Used with a Diamond Antenna Dual-Band HT Antennas SRH770S (ASIN: B07X2TF5WX), it is a perfect combination for using an HT in a fringe area for the local Skywarn/ARES repeater.This magnet mount works well with a Diamond SRH770S (ASIN: B07X2TF5WX, UPC 712265209844) Dual Band Amateur Radio Antenna. I am using it on a steel baking pan inside a window that does not have a screen. This magnet mount/antenna combination would also be usable on the roof of a parked vehicle or on a steel deck or balcony railing or for temporary use on a steel roof or awning.

I used this antenna on my wireless, magnetic mount backup camera on my RV. It's a good antenna, but I wish the magnet was a little stronger. It hasn't caused me a problem yet but I'd be a little more confident that it wouldn't fall off if the magnet were a little stronger.

Used this to mount a PLC inside a panel and have RF on the outside. The magnet is strong but not as strong as I expected. It will hold in place indoors, no problem but I can already see someone wanting to buy this to mount to a car for their wifi or something, and they will be picking it up in a ditch somewhere along the highway because the magnet isn't THAT strong. It served out purposes well though.

The design is a great idea but performs poorly in practice.The high resistance in the ten foot connector cable diminishes the signal strength to the point where your signal is weaker that it was before you added this Wifi antenna base. TBSS!

I have my computer tower in a bookcase, so it was difficult for it to receive a strong Wi-Fi signal. This antenna has fixed this problem. "Great"

Paired this base with a Superbat 12dBi RP SMA antenna to replace a 4dBi antenna on a TP-Link USB wifi adapter. The antenna and base fit perfectly, and the magnets were strong enough to hold the base in a vertical position 8ft off the ground.

I can not rate these for regular use because I used them with dummy antennas and outdoor dummy cameras. We live at the end of our road and teens were always hanging out at the cul-de-sac smoking, drinking and littering. After adding a couple fake cameras with these bases and antennas they’ve stopped coming down to party!! I don’t believe these bases are for use outdoors if you purchase them for normal reasons but for us they are working great as a deterrent.
