I know there are a ton of variables in mycology, but I had the best mycelium growth I've ever had using the grain bag in this kit.

I haven't used yet but the directions provided are certainly better than in the two-in one bags I've ordered before. They're clearer and easier to understand. If all works out I'll definitely buy more.

I bought this mushroom kit out of curiosity, and it turned out to be such a fun and rewarding little project! Everything came neatly packaged with clear instructions, and within a few days of starting it, I could already see the mushrooms beginning to grow. It was surprisingly fast and easy, even for someone with zero gardening experience.The whole process was super satisfying to watch—especially seeing the mushrooms sprout and grow almost overnight. The first harvest came within about 10 days, and the mushrooms were fresh, tasty, and way better than store-bought. Plus, you can usually get a second or third flush if you keep the conditions right.This kit makes a great gift for foodies, gardeners, or anyone who loves a little science-meets-nature at home. It’s educational, fun, and actually produces something delicious. Highly recommend!

The title of this product even states "spores not included". As long as you know or see that, you know what you are getting and you can ignore all the negative reviews about the spores not being included. This is not a fault of the product, rather it is the fault of people not paying attention to details.This set is not what I would consider an "all-in-one" kit (deducted a car for that) as the spores and a light are not included, but other than that it is a great value for money. The growth is fast. The spawn bag retains moisture quite well.This product comes with:1x Spawn Bag1x (6lb) CVG Blend1x All in one bag w/a clamp to closeNothing else is included beyond what is listed above. And this is explained in the listing.You will need to provide:the spores, light, water, the correct environment, and a basic education of how to grow mushrooms and get to flush.This is a great project and learning opportunity for kids and adults! I suggest doing some research on how to grow mushrooms, and then maybe order the spores so that you have an idea of what you are doing when you start. I would still recommend this kit to get you well on your way towards growing some Lions Mane or Shiitake mushrooms!

Ordered the all in one kit from surfin spores to try compared to a standard all in one bag. The two bags were inoculated with 20CC of dung loving liquid culture. The all in one bag has no growth after 5 days, the grain bag from surfin spores kit is already 25% colonized and ready for a break and shake. I was surprised how fast surfin spores’ grain grew. At this rate I will end up with a flush using surfin spores kit much sooner compared to the all in one bag with no growth so far. I would highly recommend surfin spores all in one kit and to stay away from the all in one bags that have the grain and substrate already mixed together.
