kiln works just fine but need a more rugged thermocouple , was using it for lead investigations by holding the heat for protracted times10 hours at 2k deg, no change in lead with additivesWent to copper nuggets which melt at 1081 deg c held the temp for casting at 2k for two hours so additives could blend completelydid the pour and let kiln cool , before kiln cooled decided to remelt the ingot , turned kiln back on placed poured and cooled ingot back into cruciblekiln had cooled to to below 1000 dg F .kiln would not increase heat and kept dropping , tries cooling completely to cold and then turning back on , kiln would not increase heat , appears that thermo coupling has quit working . Other wise this could be a great work place furnace , but thermo couple is weak

I don't mind this small of a furnace but I could have built my own for less than half the price... When contacting the company to try to get a spare crucible I was run around for days to no avail... I told them they would get a bad review from me and here it is.... They give you 10 inch long tongs that resemble hemostats,,, you like having your hands that close to 2000 degrees? There is no way to grab the crucible with the tongs and pour the metal out without setting it down, then the tongs aren't big enough to reach around it,, at that point the metal is cooling... The furnace it's self works fine,,, the way things are constructed is lousy...
