For a good while I had removed the spare wheel in the back and was reminded daily from my wife that i have nothing going on back there. Well to her surprise. I got a mullet and this cover plate. Now it's business in the front and party in the back for me and the truck. American flag is awesome one thing i wouldv'e added as a small item or even in the middle of the flag. An eagle. But if that was the case my wife would be super jealous because I'd have a ton of panties being thrown at me. Gotta leave some for the rest of the boys!

For my larger wheels, the factory spare had to be removed and have my spare on a hinged bumper-mount. So, behind the spare has always bothered me as rough / unfinished and this plate takes care of that. I think it looks great for the little anyone will ever see it behind my spare. The photos show the before and after as well as what little is visible when the tire's closed.The plate and the 8-bolt pattern fit perfectly; bolt holes oversized just enough to ensure they all fit easily.(And yes, the backer nuts are welded into the tailgate so you don't have to worry about accessing those.Pro Tip: a 13mm socket is what you need; you can use a ratchet but the bolts are long and that's a lot of turns; if you can fit your socket with your handy 20v impact driver, the whole job takes about 2 minutes!
