Lathe arrived with slight damage to change gear cover but was easy to fix. I have had no other problems with it other than deburring all the moving parts. There was machine chips in the gear head and had to remove them before filling with oil. I have did a bearing break-in .and other than the noise it makes all otherfeatures seem to be operating well. Since this item came with no serial number and the motor rated at 50 hz its obvious that this was made for the European market. Have since had to change out the motor. The 50hz vs. 60hz here in north America. No serial number means thus item was probably rejected by main stream retailers.
