My pond was so murky I couldn't see my koi! I started slowly adding this and after about 3 weeks the water is clear and I found that we have a new little koi baby swimming around. I will be buying on a regular basis.

We were having a bad algae problem in our pond, and his product made a big difference in water clarity. It took a week or two to really manifest, but water is now pretty clear. We also added some water plants to help consume nutrients., although our turtles eat most of the water plants we try to keep. The turtles do not seem impacted by this product and I think they are much happier with the clear water. Of course, we still need to clean the pump filter and such, but this product is an important part of our ecosystem management.

At first I wasn't sure if it was working. I put 4 caps in the pond and nothing happened. So the next day I put another 4 in a total of 8. Then finally the next day I could see a difference it worked and now I can see my fish again.

I've got a 300-gallon deck pond that was suffering badly from green algae as it gets a lot of sun. One treatment of this and the water has stayed clear and algae on the sides, on the filter housing and resin shelters for the fish has all but disappeared now for weeks. I was going to try one of those blue water tints before trying this but was concerned that splashing would stain my patio. So glad I found this. Can't believe the difference.

I didn't want to use a toxic algicide in my shrimp-tetra and electric blue ram aquaria which were overrun with green hair algae. I dosed at half-strength one week apart. After 2-3 weeks there was a dramatic reduction in algae. After 4-6 weeks hair algae is gone. Surprisingly, black beard algae also took a hit. This stuff works, but don't expect a quick fix. No signs of toxicity to plants or fish.

This product is the best way to try and keep water clear from algae growth without any chemicals if you are going down the natural route. I added this to my pond after I had a huge buildup of string algae and needed to drain, scrub and refill. Within a week or two I had algae again, this time single cell (green water). I have a 2,500 gal pond and used nearly the whole bottle after adding fresh water. I think this product did help fight against the string algae, but can't keep water clear entirely on it's own; it's all about the pond conditions. For anyone looking to clear up their pond water, my recommendation is to use this product as well as adding a LOT of pond plants. They will compete with the algae for nutrients and shade the pond surface, essentially starving the algae of it's sustenance. After adding my plants my pond is about 90% clear after one week. Hope this is helpful for DIY pond builders like myself! I've attached before and after photos

I didn't have high hopes for this product, but our pond was looking awfully green. I was at the pet store and this is all they had, so I got it, hoping it would better better than nothing and not kill our fish. We'd had a couple of barley bales before and they were useless. To my surprise and delight, it works! It does a nice job of clarifying the water. It also darkens it, for a while, but it is transparent and not cloudy or green. The fish are just fine. We've used bacterial cleaners in the past, but we haven't been able to get our old brand anymore. This is actually better at clarifying the water, but it does not get rid of alge stuck to the sides of the pond. It doesn't look too bad, but some people may not like that. Amazon has a great price on this and my shipment arrived well-packed, which is important for liquids.Overall, it is a good product that clears the water, quite quickly.

I have a new pond, and start to see algae to cloud the water after just one week in the sun. At first, I put in the right dosage. The 2nd day, the water is still green and cloudy, but rather more brown (the color of the extract). I put in the same amount and the water became clear on the 3rd day. There is still algae on the liner and rocks, but water is clear (still a little brown). So, I'm happy. Just hope it can last 4 weeks or more because it's not cheap.Update: one week later, green water is back and worse. Used the extract 3 days in a roll, and it didn't help or maybe even worse. could algae be feeding on the barley and peat extract? Strange. I will try pond bacteria next.
