It is round with a hole in the center and can be used where loosening from corrosion or vibration is a concern. I'm not saying that these are bad. I just have no clue what type of stainless steel these are. It doesn't say anywhere on the packaging. They can't be 316 or 18-8 because I just picked up a magnet with the package. There are magnetic stainless steel alloys. I guess I'll have to put one in water and see how it does but the vendor should specify the alloy!
