This book will help me take my dog from novice to intermediate and beyond. Lots of great exercises and handling options that will increase our ability to get around the courses better. I especially like the sections on walking the courses and agility nerves.

The Intermediate's Guide continues where Leach's Beginner's Guide leaves off, and covers everything you would need to do next in the same, easy to read/easy to apply manner.

This is an extremely helpful guide for dog agility. I have been involved in agility dog trials for over a year. In fact, we just earned a C-ATCH in Canine Performance Events. This book is helping us go to the next level so we can achieve more successes in our sport.

Great sequel to follow on from Beginner's Guide to Agility, with clearly explained advice on handling and developing agility skills and helpful photos and diagrams. Really recommend this to anyone who wants to take their agility to the next step.

Very easy to follow, nicely explained, love the methods used, etc. This book is up-to-date (as of 2013), and is a great compliment to training classes. It will help you better understand why you do what you do, how to handle better, and how to train your dog what you want w/o using compulsion.

I loved her beginners guide and this one is equally as good. It takes you along in such a systematic way that is easy to understand and follow.

Good book, but the ebook version has some major problems. Would have given four stars but for that. I'd recommend the hard copy.

I recently received this book as a gift.My dog and I began formal agility training about 3 years ago, have been running at trials about 1-1/2 years. I had some specific problems at trials - my dog did not work away from me, I had difficulty with tight turns; he consistently knocked the first jump bar; I didn't trust my dog. For example, at class I would use a rear cross and even a blind cross but at a trial I would revert to a front cross.I read several chapters in the book: working away, tight turns, discrimination of obstacles, motivation problems and a few others. We practiced the exercises in the yard and at class. In the past four weekends we had 8 trials. My dog moved up from Open Standard to Excellent Standard, we finished Novice Fast and have two Q's in Open Fast. We moved up from Novice Jumpers to Open Jumpers and have two Q's.The book helped us resolve some problems resulting in more consistently successful runs. The lessons in the book are valuable to those running Excellent level runs as well as Novice and Open. I found the book to be a great addition to formal agility training.
