Your cart is empty. Many cultures have credited opal with supernatural origins and powers. Arabic legends say it falls from the heavens in flashes of lightning. The ancient Greeks believed opals gave their owners the gift of prophecy and guarded them from disease. Europeans have long considered the gem a symbol of hope, purity, and truth. Encourages both freedom and independence. Opal enhances cosmic consciousness and induces psychic and mystical visions. It stimulates originality and creativity. Helps to release anger and claim self worth, aiding in accessing and expressing one's true self.

About half of the opals are just white- no iridescence. The others have great color but they are encased in hard cement like rock so you can only see glimmers of opal, but have to file or drill off the cement rock on the outside They do not look like the picture shown.

I disliked only getting one stone that was somewhat usable the rest were thin and so tiny they were useless, did not resemble the advertisements put out by this seller in fact these stones I received didn't even come remotely close to the advertised ones, mind you in this picture I'm a 5'2 102 pound woman with small hands.
