First off, this is a great book. It covers pretty much everything about the ficus as bonsai. Unfortunately, my copy came bent and with a creased cover. Definitely the downside of Amazon. I never would have paid full price in the store if it looked like this. So great book, very poor shipping and handling by Amazon. Buy your copy at the store.

For the price I paid the print quality was very very substandard. It looks like a colour Xerox of some book written by the author. Strongly recommend not to buy. It's worth only Rs 250

I would have given 5 stars but the author recycled some of his previous book into this book. Not a bad thing if you haven’t read his 1st book. I was a little disappointed he recycled his older writings.

This book covers the the species and varieties of Ficus that are suitable for bonsai. The characteristics of each is discussed, as is the type of care and training each is suitable to. It includes many photos of trees in the wild, and in various bonsai styles. How to distinguish species that can be confused is covered as well. Propagation and special techniques that work on Ficus are also discussed and well illustrated. If you like Ficus, especially if you keep bonsai, this is a must have book. It was so more than I expected when I ordered it. I wish I had it long ago.

I learned so much about Ficus trees and bonsai. This book contains an impressive amount of information and is well written.

It is most detailed book about ficus I could find. Lots of information. Well written too, no struggle at all reading. Highly recommend for ficus enthusiasts, even experienced ones.

Excellent content regarding suitable trees, leaf size, and each variety's use as bonsai material. I initially underestimated the worth of this book. But as I spent time with it my appreciation grew as to its content, the ideas presented, the author's experience with the various variety of ficus he had worked with.The fotos in the book are useful and great examples of trees are shown, especially those depicting change in the tree over the years. If you like ficus bonsai, this book is a good addition to your library. Highly recommended.

Well done ... not over anyones head, yet shows us many important things about the Genus Ficus ... must have for tropical and bonsai nuts
