Upon Receipt

Check the pointer direction. Normallythe red pointer should point to around 140°F to 170°F

During Use

  1. Insert thermometer into meat to apoint where the tip is 2/3 past thecenter of the meat.
  2. Then, watch the black pointer rotateclockwise to stop at a temperature,indicating the meat's temperature.
  3. Meanwhile, the red pointer corresponds to USDA-recommended doneness level at that temperature

TIPS FOR USE


  1. Initial state: Red pointer up, pointing to 140℉-170℉.
  2. Black pointer for temperature readings. Red pointer for doneness level.
  3. Don't measure temperatures beyond 120℉-200℉.
