This science is based upon the assumption that mental faculties are located in brain `organs` on the surface of the brain and can be detected by visible inspection of the head and skull. This awesomely creepy, cold cast resin phrenology bust makes a great gift for doctors, medical students, or anyone who loves old Victorian style decor. The head is printed with a map-like sectioning, showing what part of the brain affects which personality traits. The bust measures 8 1/2 inches tall, 7 inches wide and 5 1/4 inches deep. It makes a great conversation piece. NOTE: This is a decorative piece, and some of the information printed on the head may be invalid or misprinted. This head should not be used to prepare for lobotomies, bloodlettings, exorcisms or any other outdated medical practice.

Previously I'd bought their Mummified Palmistry Hand and was very happy with it. I'd hoped the same for the Phrenology Head. Sadly, it is not. The wash that was applied to bring out the labels was not done well at all. I needed to go over many lines and letters with a Micron pen. Hopefully Things2Die4 will pick up their standards again.

Well made and very nice looking. It is a little creepy and the eyes seem to follow you which makes me like it even more.

Love the piece; it is interesting, a bit creepy (as I wanted it to be), but the size listed under the product description was incorrect. The piece is actually 7.5" wide at the base by the shoulders, which was unexpected as it was listed as 3.5" wide. This wouldn't normally be an issue, but I had also ordered a glass dome for display purposes and now I had to order another to fit the ACTUAL dimensions.Other than incorrect sizing, LOVE this piece

Love this piece. It's in my office and I get many compliements on it. Smaller than I origianlly thought, but it's large enough to get noticed.
