Product Description

DESIGN FOR ACCURATE & EASY INSTALLATION
The timing chain synchronizes the crankshaft and the camshaft, make sure that the valves open and close at the right time. Timing chain and timing gears are held in place with a timing chain tensioner.

The timing chain is a component of the car engine that synchronises the rotation of the crankshaft and camshaft in the engine’s lower and higher portions. This allows the engine's inlet and outflow valves to open and close at precisely predetermined intervals during each round of the engine. It serves as a link between the upper (cylinder head and valves) and bottom parts of the engine (pistons and crankcase).

What does a timing chain do?
A timing chain synchronizes the rotation of the crankshaft and camshaft(s) ensuring proper timing and allows the engine’s valves to open and close during each cylinders firing.
When does a timing chain need to be replaced?
The timing chain normally needs to be replaced between 80,000 and 120,000 miles unless there is a specific problem.Issues with the chain are common in higher mileage vehicles. If driving an older vehicle, or one with close to 100,000 miles,it is recommended to look for symptoms of the timing chain going bad or failing.
