Quick review...... No instructions included so I basically had to look at the picture online. Yeah you may think it's easy, it's not, as nothing is labeled. Seller could care less about that issue. And the most pressing of all is the missing assembly and the worst yet, is the seller is reluctant to even attempt to help.Disaster

I needed something i could use behind a riding mower to level my gravel drive (300 Yds long) every once in a while after the big down pours we get. This simple device does well at the task. Yes you will have to add weight for most applications. I use a cinder block in the rear connected by these from amazon and they work great.ROBLOCK Rubber Tarp Straps 31" Long Heavy-Duty Tie EPDM Bungee Cord Down with Crimped Metal S Hooks, Ideal for Securing Tarps, Canvases (10 packs,Black)Highly recommend this drag harrow and by my uses explained below it will hold up for a long time.Improvements that could be incorporated into the design would be to have a holder in rear for standard cinder blocks. This anyone can fabricate from 1" angle iron if so desired and drill and bolt into place same as used by this manufacturer. For the price you really can't beat the design and it works! I have not tried it on grass yet so can't tell you how well it works there but can tell you while building a patio and firepit area on hillside it worked well at flattening up the ground after initial excavator work. Once excavator had completed basic work on slope to create the patio / fire pit areas the harrow did the rest with 2 cinder blocks attached. BTW use the straps i have listed above i tried regular bungees and they did not last even half a day while pulling.

So there are a couple issues with this. The cross bars that hold the blocks are a little too wide, and your blocks will likely fall off. To fix this I got a couple 1/2 inch square dowels that went on both sides of the blocks to keep them centered. The bolts tend to unscrew. I added redlocktite to keep the nuts from spinning off.The blocks also tend to rattle off the ends. To fix this I got some scrap chain links from Lowes in the chain by the foot. They give away the links they cut, so they were free. I then welded 2 on the front and 2 on the rear. This puts D rings on, and allows me to strap the blocks in.So... other than the tweaks above, which may seem excessive or out of some people's skills or abilities, the unit is quite sturdy, and worth the cost if you're ready to so some tweaking.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to at an affordable price. I used it after two days of light rain adding two cinderblocks. I had to add a board to hold the blocks as the center rails are about an inch too wide allowing the blocks to fall through. Pre drilled holes for tiedowns would be a nice added feature. I pulled it with an ATV but a lawn tractor would work just fine. Assembly was extremely easy without instructions.

It's far from the best-working implement I own, but it's worth the $100 I paid for it.The instructions looked like a photocopy of a fax. The images were hard to decipher, but fortunately, this isn't a very complicated device, so I figured it out. Assembly was pretty simple. The bars are all nicely powder coated, and the fasteners look like they might be stainless steel (time will tell). One of the front-to-back bars was warped when it arrived, but it didn't really affect assembly at all.I use this landscape drag to level out the 1/4" gravel on my driveway after the garbage truck leaves deep ruts. It works very well for small gravel like that, but doesn't work at all for larger 1.5" gravel. Unfortunately, the lower layers of gravel on my driveway are larger, and when a big rock works its way up to the surface, it gets stuck in the drag and cuts a groove through my otherwise-smooth surface. I knew before buying that this wouldn't work on larger gravel, so I don't fault the product for this. It's really designed for small gravel & loose dirt. I pull it behind my 26HP lawn tractor (Cub Cadet SLTX 1054), and it works great without even breaking a sweat.I first used it without any weight on it, but the center point of the front bar nose-dived somewhat and the center of the rear bar rose, which meant that this drag actually created a depression everywhere I went. I later added a single cement block at the rear of the drag (there's probably room for 3-4 of them along the center track), and that kept the back end down to level out the surface more. In both configurations, the outer ends of the rear bar dip lower than I'd like and cut grooves at the edges of my path rather than merging smoothly with the existing surface. I wish there was a way (without adding weight) to get the front bar to ride a little higher so that it only knocked down tall ridges rather than digging into the surface quite so deeply. If I were looking to create a golf-course quality surface, I'd probably be disappointed. However, my goal is just to level out the ruts in the driveway rocks every so often until the fresh gravel gets packed down enough that ruts don't form so easily. For that purpose, this product works great.

Received item earlier than expected. 15-20 minute assembly. Worked as described. As others have mentioned, a quick bungee cord or strap to keep any weight secured will keep weight from bouncing off. I was extremely pleased with the way the unit made short work of smoothing out my drive. Was so anxious to try that I probably should have a waited a bit until the ground was a bit dryer following some rain. A couple of low spots will have to be hit once the "puddle" has dried. Have about a 1/4 mile drive with large circular drive. I only did about a third and am anxious for the weather to permit completion. I found that dragging it with the weight then finishing off with no weight worked best for me. Also reversing direction to better fill in the lower spots. All in all I could not be happier with how this performed for the price.
