I initially ordered these thinking they were screw backs, which they are not. However, the locking mechanism is good, and my 7 year old can put them in and take them out independently. They appear to be true titanium, as her ears react to most cheaper earrings, and these have been non-reactive over a period of months.

So far- this is a great set- posts are a little shorter- I like the backs- they seem secure but are more comfortable and cover the end

I actually got these for myself, as I was getting tired of the hoops I'd been wearing for some time. Some of the designs, like the hearts, are prone to spinning around on the ear and ending up upside down. But all the pairs I wore stayed in well, and didn't bother me when I slept with them in. I have sensitive ears, so earrings can be hard to find for me. I can't wear surgical steel, and even plating doesn't always suffice. Niobium and titanium are great, though sterling silver was the standard for years. These didn't cause any issues, as expected, due to the titanium posts.My daughter liked picking out which ones I should wear, since her ears aren't pierced. I think a child with pierced ears would definitely love the designs and the sparkle factor.
