My baby just turned two years old, and recently he especially likes to "help" with cooking. This wooden learning tower comes in handy. The height when standing on it is just enough to reach the kitchen countertop, so the child can safely participate in simple things, such as washing fruit, stirring small bowls, etc., which makes him feel particularly involved. The texture of the wood is pretty good, there is no peculiar smell, and it feels very smooth to the touch, it will not scratch your hands, and the edges and corners are polished and rounded, so I feel at ease letting him stand on it. The best point is that it can be folded and does not take up space when put away. This is really friendly, especially when the space in the small kitchen is tight. However, the reason why I deducted one star is that although it is stable, the overall weight is not very heavy. Sometimes the children will shake a little when they go up and down by themselves, and we have to watch them from the side to feel at ease.

Highly impressed! I was admittedly put off by the number of pieces it came in, but everything was so well packaged and labeled it was quite easy to put together once I started. I didn't even have to lay out the pieces, I just grabbed it from the box and went along with the picture instructions which are huge and printed in color with each step taking up a full page so you can really zoom in on details like which hole is facing where, where the hinge is at, and which way the hinges should be facing. I ended up using a power drill for the last couple of steps to install the hinge and latches, but everything else with the allen wrench worked just fine and my 2yo was helping me assemble it as well by putting the bolts and wooden pegs where they need to go. Because it is a foldable toddler tower, it did have more intimidating pieces, but really quite simple just by looking at the pictures. Once assembled, I was pleased with how well thought out this was. It includes anti slip grip stickers as well as the ones on the bottom of the legs. Additionally, the legs came with extra pieces to widen the base in which you'd have to make sure to match the slants. This is way better than the one I've previously purchased that can tilt easily if too much weight is leaned to the back so I'll definitely be replacing that one with this.

I was very excited to receive this package, but didn't last. Here is what was done well:1. Solid and careful packing.2. All pieces were present.3. Assembly instructions were clear...at least through #6.4. The smell of pine wafting from the box let me excited to assemble the product. Here are the cons:1. It was, indeed, pine, but it was balsa pine and had no inherent strength.2. Instructions (in the form of pictures and vague demonstrations of "what to put 3. where.""3. The wood was so soft that the angers for the bolts came out during assembly in such a way as to make the item unstable, possibly dangerous to a child.Great idea. Bad product.

I gifted this to some friends whose child is about to turn 2. He's an only child (for now), and needs to be included as much as possible in what the adults around him are doing. This "tower" brings him up to countertop height and makes him part of kitchen activities, even if it's just banging a spoon. His dad reported assembly was about average difficulty and took about 45 minutes. He did need to sand down one rough spot, but otherwise the finish is smooth. It's been in regular use for five weeks now and no problems.

I love this product for my two year old. She can finally stand at the counter — safely — to help or watch me in the kitchen. If you have a toddler, you know, they want to be involved with any and everything you do. Having this secured step stool makes my life easier, because instead of her crying and wanting me to pick her up while I’m cooking and doing dishes, I can let her climb up and we can be at the same level together. It’s a perfect way to bond with your child. It will build character development and emotional stability as well. This is not a piece of bulky furniture — this is a way for me as a single mom to spend as much time with my daughter as possible. Before I had this, I would have to put her in her playpen when I was in the kitchen to keep her safe — now, this product has given us a safe way to interact with each other while I get her meals ready and clean up. She absolutely loves it and so do I. Plus, it is basically put together out of the box, assembly takes 30 minutes. It’s compact and folds up for easy storage. And it’s versatile and sturdy. All parents who have toddlers should invest in one of these — you won’t regret it.

We got this for our friends with small children when they come to visit and wow, I LOVE that it folds up easily for storage and I LOVE that we can put out to help our friends and family feel at home while the adults are working in the kitchen. The item was packaged well, easy to put together, and seems sturdy and well made. These toddler stools are so popular for my friends and their kids and the kids enjoy eating and helping at the counter with them. Glad to be able to grab one that's affordable but also flexible for storage! Definitely recommend.
