After each use, wipe the edge of the blade wash with water and clean with a cloth. If the kitchen scissors are not used for a long time, it can be applied appropriately with edible oil to maintain a more sharp and durable.

My wife love the product so much that she made me buy more for her father and uncles. After many months of using this scissor it still perform as it did when we first used it. Great product.

I wasn't sure at first what I thought. These are very different from the plastic scissors that I was using in my kitchen. These had a little different shape and were much heavier. So I waited to review them until I had a chance to really use them a few times. Once I got used to the weight, they are actually really awesome scissors. Crazy sharp, they seem to cut through everything I have tried. Being metal instead of plastic I anticipate these lasting a lot longer. I haven't had them long enough to day they won't rust, but the metal feels like it is decent quality and I would be surprised if they did. I would absolutely get these again!

The Tonma scissors are sharp, solidly made and very precise. I got a pruning shear from this company a few days ago, and am overall very impressed with the quality of their instruments. They made finely ground blades, with excellent quality steel. They are sharp and good at what they were made to do. This is now hidden in my sewing kit, in case my husband decides to use it to dismantle boxes for compost. We have other scissors which will do that, but will not cut fabric cleanly. These are excellent for use with both fabric and paper (though I know some would call that heresy). I am not in that camp, but believe these are a higher order instrument than the other scissors in our house, and so I will protect them from abuse, because it is nice to have a precision instrument around when you need one. In contrast to a number of other things I have tried lately, I would purchase just about anything this company makes because they seem to treat each with a great deal of care and produce the best product they can. Both the scissor and pruning shears are the best I have, and I have been through a lot of pruning shears.

These kitchen scissors have some heft to them, are much more heavy/solid compared to the previous scissors we have used in our kitchen. It is impressively sharp and looks built to last. The word that comes to mind with these is "quality" - it's solid, sharp, easy to control, well balanced. Everything I could ask for in kitchen shears.I've already thrown out our old mostly-plastic-except-for-metal-edge scissors. I'm pretty sure these can be sharpened even further, if needed, although out of the packaging they're already *very* sharp.

Boy, these scissors are the cat’s pajamas. This 8-inch implement is not only beautiful to behold, but the feel in my hand is incredible. The handles are symmetrical with large openings. Since these babies are SHARP, balance and control is of the utmost importance. Their design allows for a confident grip of the SK5s. Thoughtful engineering is evident in every detail of these shears. A great product; a great value!

The Good:•Very well made, oiled steel. You can tell just opening and closing them how sharp and fine they are. The points are super sharp.•The gold color looks dazzling and very high end. If you want to get complimented on your scissors, this is the way to go.The Bad:•They are not very ergonomic. If you had to cut things with these for an hour, your hand would probably start to hurt. The handles are metal and not well adapted to a hand shape.Final Verdict:•If you want a higher end pair of scissors, you could do a lot worse. They work great, as long as you don't have to put these through hours of use.
