About this item

  • 【1-Second Rapid Detection and Response & Dual-Side Sensing】Featuring six highly sensitive sensor probes, Tapo T300 triggers its siren in as little as 1 second to alert users immediately and prevent worse water damage. Sensor probes on the top and bottom are designed to detect both drips and leaks.
  • 【Instant App Notifications】Receive an instant app notification when a leak happens or the batteries run low. Find out even while away from home.
  • 【90 dB Built-in Alarm】Alerts you immediately with its adjustable 90 dB alarm when leakage occurs. Press once to silence the alarm after you find the spot. It can also trigger the Hub alarm for additional audible alert coverage.
  • Reliable Long-Range Connections: The Tapo Hub operates on a lower frequency broadband, resulting in fewer signal interferences and ensuring stable connectivity for all your devices throughout your home. With a maximum connection distance of up to 30m, the Tapo Hub outperforms wireless network systems in the 2.4 GHz band. Our internal laboratory tests confirm the coverage and range of the Tapo Hub, but keep in mind that actual results may vary depending on environmental conditions.
  • A Low-Power Way to Connect Everything- The Tapo Hub serves as the central hub for your Tapo smart home, linking smart sensors, switches, and buttons via an ultra-low power wireless protocol. This technology extends the battery life of devices by up to 10 times, in contrast to devices powered by the Wi-Fi protocol.
  • Smart Action- With Tapo Smart Hub H100, you can trigger a Shortcut or control Tapo devices (such as smart plugs, smart lights and smart switches) based on sensor detection or with a button press. (Tapo H100 cannot directly connect to Tapo smart plugs or smart lighting, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is required.)

Can I give this 10 stars? This was the difference between an annoying mess and an insurance claim for me today when a hot water tank pressure regulator valve failed and decided to start spraying down the wall by my hot water tank in my basement. That 90db alarm scared the life out of me and my family, but we are thankful it did! This little guy kicked on immediately and limited the mess to a puddle a few towels cleaned up and a flooded basement with who knows how much damage.

I have 9 Tapo devices in my home. Switches, cameras, doorbell, and now this unit. Ultra easy to install. I now have a leak alert that sends off an immediate signal in my house and sends notifications to my phone in seconds. The sensor is discrete as is the hub. This brand has excellent products that work reliably, are affordable, look nice and do not require a service. Great purchase c

I bought this set to help track down an intermittent water leak under my kitchen cabinets. Setup is easy and straightforward; just follow the instructions in the app and it works. The detector is very sensitive -- just a little trickle of water that made its way under the detector was enough to trip the sensor. I did experience a delay of a minute or two between when the detector sounded and when the Tapo app on my smartphone sounded the alert. If you already have an investment in TP-Link Kasa smart devices, you can import them into the Tapo app and control the Kasa and Tapo devices in the one app, a nice bonus.

Disclosure, our family is in the insurance business. And as a result, we see all too often what happens to people's homes when they suffer a flood. Sometimes it's a burst pipe, other times a leaky roof, but every time it happens, it brings grief, inconvenience and out-of-pocket costs. Thanks to TP-Link, you now have an affordable early-warning system.Water leak detectors have been in existence for a very long time. The old ones used floats to detect rising water, that subsequently tripped a switch. Modern units use low-voltage electronic sensors to detect conductivity between them, when water is detected. The latter method is far superior because it will trigger a warning on very little water. This product uses the electronic sensor to detect the presence of water. Hence, it will trigger a warning at the earliest possible time after detecting the presence of water. We placed the first one under the kitchen sink as we renovated our kitchen. With temporary plumbing connections, we were worried about a potential flood.Sure enough, the alarm started sounding when we switched on the dishwasher. Seems a hose hadn't been properly fastened and some water made it through the air-gap. Proof positive the thing works. You do need to buy a hub for these sensors to connect to your Wi-Fi however. Factor that into the cost, and stake out a central point where it will live. Keep in mind that the cost of the hub is amortized over the total number of sensors you install, so it's not much. The sensors may also be compatible with other home automation hubs, but I have not looked into that. You might.A great item to add under every water source in your home, for very little money. Set up alerts on your phone and be prepared for the worst whether you're in town or on vacation. Recommended.
