These chains are really good quality and hold tractors on flatbeds just fine.

Saved me a bit of money ordering it online as opposed to going to a big box store.
Often Disappointed!

Be sure to buy the ratchet style binders as the old style has been outlawed in most states.

I typically use 5/16" chain because it's not as heavy and I've never had a task difficult enough to break one. When this 3/8" chain arrived, I realized it was not much heavier than 5/16" chain. (Grade-70 chain is also known as transportation chain). Grade 70, 5/16" chain has a working load limit of 4,700 pounds and weighs .93 lbs. per foot. Grade 70, 3/8" chain has a working load limit of 6,600 pounds and weighs 1.41 lbs. per foot. Thats a difference of almost half a pound per foot of chain. So the 3/8" 10' chain weighs about 5 pounds more than the same chain in 5/16". One of these 3/8" 10' chains weighs just over 14 pounds. These chains have no apparent flaws and function as expected. They have a clevis style, cradle grab hook on each end. I'll use these chains mainly with my tractor and loader but it may also see use with a electric shop hoist. I will probably add a to at least one of these chains.I'll also be cutting a bit larger opening in empty, 5 quart, plastic oil jugs to store these chains (making sure to put a hole or two in the bottom to let water drain through. The price for these chains seems to be somewhere on the lower end of the spectrum for Grade 70 3/8" chain.

These are NICE chains, with a nice finish and quality grab hooks on each end. For those not familiar with chain sizing, this is a BIG thick chain (3/8" indicates the diameter of the steel rod used to make the chain links). Be aware that this item includes 2 separate chains with hooks on each end, each with a length of 10'. The yellow/gold plating gives the chain a nice finish and should help keep the steel from rusting for some time. If you're looking for a heavy duty chain, this is a great choice!

How much do you say about a chain? It is heavy, it will not rust and it is strong. The price seems high compared to the 20 foot chains out there but if you only need 10 foot each then you would still pay more for a 20 foot and have chain you don’t need. I don’t know if this size chain really has the tensile strength is claims but it I way more than I need anyway. I will keep this around for if a vehicle gets stuck. Nice chain and if you don’t mind the cost I recommend them.

Much better value than buying local---plus with coupon.
