Melissa Graves Brown received her B.F.A. from Auburn University in 1993, and then continued to the University of Pennsylvania for a Masters of Fine Art. Inspired by Idaho’s grand landscape, she has created a body of work with an emphasis on imagination and attention to nature.

Our Company History
In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter—and later, his wife, Edna—sought to create fine books that sold at prices even a pauper could afford.
Today, still family owned and operated, Peter Pauper Press continues to honor our founders’ legacy—and our customers’ expectations—of beauty, quality, and value.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This journal comes with beautiful, dainty gold specks throughout the surfaces of the hard covers and on the binding. They create a fun texture, and really make it sparkle under the right light! The shimmering pages lined with gold are not too thick or thin. The binding lies flat, so you can access your whole page. Everything about this journal was made so thoughtfully. The introduction about the business' history makes me appreciate them even more. What a beautiful gift at "prices even a pauper could afford." Thank you for a wonderful good. 10 stars if I could! 🌟

I have spent almost a year carrying around this beautiful journal and it has taken all sorts of abuse. The worst kind has been me folding it every which way, which tends to destroy every other kind of notebook I’ve ever owned. But not this one! It still looks almost new and the spine is 100% intact and strong as ever.I’m here writing this review because I’m about to buy another one. This journal is 100% worth the $19.99 price tag. I’ll definitely keep buying them if they stay this durable and reasonably priced. The pages are nicely lined, thick, and also just as durable.Highly recommend!

Beautiful, well made journal.I first purchased at a well known book seller years ago. Found it on Amazon for half the price. I have reordered several times.Writing my prayers to God helps me to organize my thoughts. Make sure I’m not leaving anybody out.🙏

this is the first time i have ever ordered myself a notebook journal and i took a little bit of time to find my favorite … honestly i’m glad i did because this book it so beautiful . the pictures i took of it are good , but they don’t really help to see it shine with the gold on the cover !! and it’s on the back too. the colors are so vibrant and pretty . i know i’m only talking about the cover , but the pages are really nice too and it has a built in bookmark. it makes me want to write in it … nd that was the whole point , so get it if you want . i don’t think you will regret it 🤷🏾♀️

I absolutely love my new journal. It is gorgeous, and it just feels special when I write in it. The hardcover helps to keep it with me when I travel, and I like how the paper is lined. It is easy to write in. The gold-edged pages make it seem glamorous. I look forward to writing in it each day.

I’ve been writing in journals for years. And I’m very particular tonight only way it looks like, the width of the lines, but I’m very attentive to how it feels. I absolutely love this journal as the cover wraps around to the spine and onto the back. There are textures so it’s not just a smooth finish which I love. Of course I pick this for the color scheme so I love the blues and oranges.This journal as well constructed. The paper is a thick consistency allowing for writing on both sides. This book is bound not only with adhesion but string as well for extra durability. A ribbon to mark your page is a must for me. Quality of the ribbon is thick and luxurious along with a finished edge so it won’t frey.There are and finding pages in back landing pages allowing four solid pages to write on your personalized before the line pages begin.Both the inside and the outside of this journal are superior quality.The edges of the pages of gold which gives for a nice finished look in the book is closed. His journal Hass to be one of my favorites for when I feel it I will definitely be replacing it with another one by the same company.

This journal is exactly as described. The colors are vibrant. The pages are rimmed in gold. The lines are faint and I do wish they were darker. But overall the journal is a beauty. It came in a plastic wrapper which I appreciated. It was my experience that the label on the back cover peeled right off with no problem and left no sticky residue. Just peel extremely slowly and it should come off. The price of this journal was perfect. I got it for 12.00. I refuse to pay more than 13.00 for a journal so if the price is right I'll be purchasing more of this brand. Just a note, if you take your time and search you can find some beautiful reasonably priced journals on Amazon. That's how I found Peter Pauper Press journals. It's my first one and I recommend to others.

This is the first Peter Pauper Press journal I've purchased, and I don't think I'll ever go back to another one. I'm thrilled with this journal. First off, the cover art is absolutely gorgeous - I can't stop looking at it! It's so bright and vibrant and I like that it's textured, it really makes it pop. The gold edged pages look gorgeous, and I like that the pages themselves are not bright white like in a notebook - but more of an "aged" off-white color.Additionally, I like the size of the journal itself. I highly dislike the little "pocket" journals, but also feel the notebook sized planners/journals are just too large. This is the perfect size. Couldn't be happier with this purchase!
