I thought that this would be a clever way to give money as a gift. The money was very hard to insert in the puzzle. The puzzle was very difficult to solve for a 19 year old and the puzzle box was damaged when it arrived. I will not order from this company again.

I bought this gift for a 10 year old. She is persistent and good at puzzles which is why this gift worked well. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for someone who would get frustrated. It’s definitely difficult!! I worked at it for a loooong time as an adult. I don’t know if there’s a way to pop it open without completing the maze. So, you have to be up for it.

This is an excellent maze/puzzle toy. Takes maybe ten minutes to solve, and then the kid gets the treat that's hidden inside.Here's my point. You open the box by navigating a ball bearing/marble to a slide. Putting the ball in the slide allows you to slide the slide, which opens the top of the box. So far so good. Once you put the top back on the ball automatically pops out at the beginning of the maze and so you have to solve the entire puzzle in order to open the box again. When the box arrives the ball is right where it needs to be to open the puzzle. Naturally, you open the box to see inside. Do not close it without putting the gift/surprise in or you will have to solve the entire maze in order to get it open again. That's fine if you're in the mood, but not fine if you're in a hurry.But anyway, a cool and well made puzzle.

I ordered 2 of these for my teenage grandchildren for Christmas. I figured if they wanted the cash inside that they would need to work for it. They do not come unopened, so you would also need to solve the puzzle yourself to put the cash inside. 1st one took about 20min to get the box to open. It took me 2 hours to get the 2nd box opened. Grandma was just about to give up when I did finally solve the puzzle and the top pop opened. SUCCESS !!!. My granddaughter was able to solve her puzzle in about a half hour. My grandson had a more difficult time with his. I did give him a hint on where the ball had to go in order for him to get his cash. After a hour of him trying to get it open and telling me it wasn't opening, I took matters into my own hands. I asked him to give it to me. Within 3 minutes I had it opened. My grandson was impressed and was happy that he got his cash. If you are planning on giving cash for a gift, this is the way to go. Fun for children & adults to get the loot inside the puzzle box.

I was really excited for my sonwho turns 32 tomorrow to receivethis quirky little blue box, with aclear colored ball, & try to openit by going through this fun maze.Being an old fashioned game player,the kind who loves to figure out a solution; large puzzles & a certaincube we all remember,I had to try & solve the puzzle myself.It took about 30 mins to get it open,but I thought it was challenging & a lotof fun...I even did it twice!So I knew my son would love trying toopen the box & find a surprise.It's made sturdy, durable, nice baby blue color, & can give your mind agreat challenge....& it can be used again, & again.Thank you.

This is a great idea for giving money, but it really depends on the age of the person who is receiving it as a gift. I gave these to two teenage boys who had them opened in about 30 seconds. The two younger 8 year old brothers on the other hand seemed intrigued and it kept them busy for quite some time. I would suggest not wrapping the gift and just handing the recipient the maze. Even if you have the ball on the opposite side of the box, by the time you wrap it and little hands snooping under the tree shake it a bunch, the ball ends up on the same side as the opening. Maybe not wrapping them prior to giving them would allow for a more challenging maze.
