The reason is comfortable foot placement when stopped. The installation was very easy, you can use your center stand to support your bike. Once they’re installed, you don’t have to worry or remove your center stand. A problem with so many of your other choices of struts. Now, getting your machine back on the center stand is another problem, especially when you install these correctly and lower the front of your bike. Lowering the front of your bike requires no parts, just the loosing of 6 Allen bolts on the triple tree!

Lowered the Concours 14 to the perfect height and I can still use the center stand. Easy install.

Have had bike for 3 years and it's always been too tall. These lower about an inch and 1/2 which is pretty much perfect for 5'5" guy like me. Center stand and kick stand still work without shortening

Being 5'5" I had a lot of trouble flat footing my 2012 Kawasaki Concours 14. I first shaved my seat as low as possible, and still had issues flat footing it. I bought these links on December 2019 after dropping my Concours during a stop when I stepped on a pothole. I am not a professional, and I can say that the installation process was extremely easy. These links lowered the rear and to matched the rear, I lowered the front forks at the triple clamp. What a difference this has made!!! I can now flat foot both feet and I feel much safer when I stop. I highly recommend these to anyone who is vertically challenged like me.
