TRG SATIN DYE is easy to apply. If the shoe uppers are soft, pack them with tissue paper to keep them in shape. Start dying on the seams and the area next to the shoe sole by using the brush included. Then soak the sponge, also included, and spread TRG SATIN DYE evenly over the shoe. Repeat with additional coats if needed to achieve a deeper colour. Allow to dry for 24 hours before wearing when the colour will become water resistant. Leichte Anwendung, funktioniert super. Menge reicht auch für mehr als eine Schicht. Würde nur Handschuhe zum Auftragen empfehlen

I applied 2 coats of the navy dye to a pair of KEEN shoes that I totally love, except for the light grey color; I was hoping to change them to dark blue. After the first application they looked good, with even-coloration, nice deep blue. I waited a full 2 days to allow thorough drying before adding the 2nd coat; but the final result is disappointing. The shoes look spotty & uneven, even grayed-out in large chunksGranted these are not silk wedding shoes and have more material to penetrate; but it is NOT an ideal dye.AND THERE IS ANOTHER REAL PROBLEM: the TINY APPLICATOR SPONGE that came with the dye wasn't even an inch square - not even big enough to cover the bottle opening, necessary to keep the dye from dripping out of the sides of the bottle. (Yes, that's the sponge pictured between the 2 shoes.)It's kind of a cheesy, chintzey, cheap oversight that makes me think a company isn't really invested in its product. Be sure you're wearing latex gloves if you use it.
