Surprisingly good optic for the price. Large size like a Defender ST in comparable size. The auto shutoff aka MOTAC or whatever takes 14 hours to turn off like the first generation of Vortex red dots. Older Chinese tech it seems but it works fine and holds zero on a 223/556 setup. Only downside is the bottom battery tray - but it is sealed with a cover and not just the bare open battery like many RDS. If it was a top-mount battery like the Triton RMSc model this would be an absolute steal.

So far so good.Looks great, mounted easily and seems to be rugged. Packaging was nice and laid out well, good documentation and a nice assortment of screws for most mounting setups, all marked very well in small bags.Looks too have a great warranty as well. Mine is mounted on a G45 Gen5 MOS.Going to do some testing this weekend and will update this review with more info. Stay tuned! 31MAR2025.Update14APR2025. 500+ rounds in, still holding zero and working perfectly.

Can confirm this is RMR mountable, but interestingly this also came with a picatinny rail adapter for rifle mounting. This has the same physical "foot print" as a Holosun 407C but in a side by side comparison this has much more mass -you can feel it is heavier and see it is less trim than the Holosun, is slightly taller and has a slightly smaller glass/viewing windows than a Holosun. That said this price point is considerably less than the Holosun 407.The downsides:- The buttons on this unit are difficult to push in . If you have big sausage fingers like me you end up having to use your fingernail to get a good push on this. This is very noticeable when compared to the Holosun. I mean neither of these are going to be reliably usable with gloves, but the Triton buttons were just dicey for me.- The shake awake feature: I only get red dots with shake awake, I'm tired of replacing these batteries every time I go to use these and it's a very handy feature. This unit seems to operate on on/off (manually depress - button for 3 seconds to turn off) and when on off it does NOT shake awake, or on the on setting and the auto off portion of shake awake takes a loooong time to turn off, like somewhere between 30 mins and 3 hours. The instructions say 1 hour of idle time. The issue I have here is that's a long time for the battery to run down. The Holosun turns off in about 10 mins of idle time.- The battery mounts from the bottom, so replacing battery involves removing optic. One small item - the instructions refer to the + and - buttons as ^ and v. This shouldn't bother me as it's easy to figure out, but why not just use the button labels + and -?OK so maybe it's not fair to compare this unit to a Holosun which is a much more expensive and feature rich unit, but the posting invites such comparisons with "407C footprint" advertising so....I wanted to rate this lower, but there is no denying there is value in what you get for this set of features. The picatinny adapter is what put it over the top for me. The shake awake does work, and the brightness settings were good. The 3 MOA reticle (the dot is 3 MOA in size) looks to be correct (some cheaper red dots advertise a smaller reticle size than they really have). Great value for money here.

This does not fit the rmr footprint. Do not buy. The reviews saying it fits fine are likely using pcatinny adapters and not actually mounting it to an optic cut or optic plate. I tried two different RMR plates, and three different WMW cut footprints.

Product seems to be sturdy and finished well. Came with several types of mounting hardware which is always appreciated. My problem is that there appears to be parallaz or something in the optic. The image appears slightly wavy when you look through the optic. I will contact the seller or manufacturer and hopefully get it replaced. So far I'm not very happy.Update: returned the optic for a replacement and received the new one promptly. Glass clarity is marginally better in this unit. There still appears to be some distortion around the perimeter of the viewing area. Is this just what you get in terms of quality at this price point? I'm not impressed but I haven't shot with it yet. I can always put it on an airsoft gun. I'd stay away from this product.

Sight has good brightness and clear dot. Durability seems good, as it stands the recoil of a 9mm handgun without drifting zero or malfunctioning. The knurled face of the sight is an interesting design choice. Aesthetically it looks kind of cool but I can't speak to functionality of it.

Not built well. When battery cover recieves pressure, especially from mounting to your firearm, and securing it with the screws, it grounds out the battery internally and stops working. Upon removal of the sight from the firearm, it will then work again. So, just because it works when it shows up at your door, does not mean it will once it is attached to your firearm. Beware!

I did not want to unmount my actual Halosun 407K to compare, so I just did a side by side comparison. This unit does seem a little bulkier, and the sight window is not as big. To be fair, I am used to the square window but round might work fine once you got used to it.The sight dies seem well made, however. The reticle shows up pretty clearly and you can adjust the brightness, just like on the halosun. The buttons are not easy to manipulate so I used my fingernails, but that is the same as my halosun.Price wise, this us a much better value so if you were just looking for a basic rmr footprint sight, this might do the trick.
