These are the perfect needle.They are very sharp and strong. They take two or three tries to thread, unless you are lucky, but worth the hassle.

I can't say enough good things about these needles. They're sturdy, sharp, fast and have a big eye (relatively speaking because they're for applique). People have raved about them and I thought it was hyperbole, but it wasn't. I am going to check out the Hiroshima Tulip Quilting needles to see if they are also amazing.

I do a lot of hand quilting and sewing, so I try every appliqué needle that comes along. These are by far THE BEST I’ve ever used. They do slide thru appliqué and binding like butter. I’ve even used them like betweens needles for hand quilting, and they worked so well. Now I’m going to order and try the Tulip actual quilting betweens.
