I did not know the difference nice needles make in handsewing until I tried tulip needles. They are frictionless so they slide through multiple layers of fabric like butter.

These needles are so sharp! Very fine quality. I purchased to attempt to hand sew some doll clothes from denim.

These expensive needles were shipped with no inner wrapping, just places in a lightly padded Amazon envelope. The package must have been crushed in shipping. The storage tube was broken in the Tulip box.The needles are very well made and do seem to glide thru multiple fabric layers easier than other sashiko needles. They would be 5 stars.

These are the highest quality Sashiko needles that are worth every penny. I love Tulip needles these are strong, durable, very sharp, stay sharp, and are ideal for visible mending. Use on medium to heavy denim, canvass, and upholstery materials to light materials. Another high quality genuine Japanese made product. Safety wise these are the way to go because I am not worried about them breaking like the cheap ones. Sure this brand costs a little more but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend trying these needles.

OK, these are strong, easy to thread needles. They are not 'chromed' for that smooth, shiny finish, but still pull through easily enough. At this price though, they are surely a personal treat for a sewing specialist. The average sock-mender does not need Samurai Needles..- - -Bought at £7.00 & free delivery.Item was delivered on-time, as-described, and suitably packaged.

Best needles I’ve ever found, though I did break one while sewing through thin suede for a repair project. It’s hard to find stronger needles- as long as you’re not super rough on them you’re fine.

The advantage of these is that the eye does not flair out so it is the same size as the shaft of the needle. This makes it much easier to pull through the fabric when working with thicker threads. This is also a high quality needle that does not bend or break. This is important when doing a lot of hand sewing, especially big stitch or Sashiko with thick thread.
