Connecticut Electric manufactures new high quality replacement circuit breakers for Wadsworth load centers that accept Wadsworth Type A style circuit breakers. Circuit breakers should only be replaced with new tested and Safety Agency Listed circuit breakers, never used or refurbished ones.

This 120/240 volt Wadsworth 50 amp, double pole replacement circuit breaker is used in a Wadsworth load center. Typical applications, up to 22,000 watts, include electric ranges (15 KW - 21 KW), electric ovens and central residential air conditioners (240 Volt, up to 23,000 BTU). These are only suggested applications and cannot assure compliance with all local codes. Please check local electrical codes before starting any electrical project.

I was told by local Locke Supply that Wadsworth breakers were no longer being manufactured. They gave me the numbers to several local electricians to see if they had any old used ones pulled out of old boxes. I just happened to check Amazon and to my surprise I found this Wadsworth replacement. I ordered it, fully expecting it not to work and to need to send it back...but it fit PERFECTLY!

I tried used breakers from original model,, after 2 rejects that dont last, I tried this breaker, and not a single issue with it.

After receiving damaged products sold as "used, in very good condition" that are broken and useless, and now receiving an item then that is true to it's description is a pleasant experience ! This breaker worked so far as expected, looked good, and hopefully it will keep doing it forever since these old breakers are becoming almost impossible to get anymore and that's why there is a lot of cheating with the prizing going on ! But if you really need one, you bite your tongue I guess.
