This is easily the best SD card reader I have used. Everything about it shows quality: the aluminum case, braided cable, plastic shipping plug in the connector, and the “Pros” below. Note that the SD card and Micro SD card appear on Windows File Manager as two drives. Each drive/card must be unmounted separately, because they are two separate drives in one case.I tested this card reader with three other similar (SD and Micro SD) plastic card readers and another card reader with an aluminum case. This was the only card reader with an USB 4.0 interface. Cable has a nice length (8 inches).6. The USB-C connector came with a nice plastic shipping plug to seal and protect the connector.7. The slot for the Micro SD card has a nice latch when pushed in and is spring-loaded to push out the card.8. The aluminum case stays cool during a data transfer of large files. Nothing gets hot.Cons:1. The strain relief on the case is too stiff.

My old USB card reader barely managed 45 Mbps. This USB=C reader usually races along at about 160 Mbps. I'm a photographer with big raw files and I used to wait a long time to download. Now it's pretty quick.

I used lots of brand SD card readers (Lexar, Sandisk, ProGrade, Anker, Samsun etc) before, but this is the best SD Card Reader among them. I used a Lexar SD UHS-II and Sumsang MicroSD UHS-I card to test it, this card reader can detect the limit of the SD cards, other card readers can't read the capacity fully.

It gives me full speeds for my Samsung Pro Ultimate and SanDisk Extreme Pro SD Cards. The SD Card slot for my Macbook Pro (M2 Pro) maxed out only at 100~MB/s while I got double that (200 MB/s) using this SD Card Reader.The cards I used are of the UHS-I variant and not the UHS-II variant so I have not tried those. I also have not tried other brands.

Great for SD and micro SD cards. It is nice and compact and has the speed of 'built in' readers. Don't be scared to get it!! Great price too!

But not as fast. The type c connection makes it more useful than the cheaper options.
