I recently purchased this ultrasonic dog bark deterrent device, and I can confidently say it has been highly effective. It quickly grabs the dog’s attention, stopping loud barking within seconds. The Ultrasonic Dog Bark Deterrent Device does as it was intended and did stop our dog from barking but with reservations. The unit sends a deep sound that really upset our dog. She refused to come back in the living room for an hour, so we didn’t use it twice. However…… I could see this device being excellent for managing uncontrollable or threatening dogs. If it has the same effect as our dog experienced, it will stop them barking. I’m just not sure how the dogs will feel about it. So, I give this product a 50/50 rating as in the proper circumstances, the device would prove very useful. But, for your dog at home, I think it’s overkill to address the barking product with this device. There are better ways to train a your dog without upsetting the animal. As an example, identifying the reason behind their barking, addressing it with positive reinforcement training by ignoring them when they bark excessively, rewarding calm behavior, providing sufficient exercise and mental stimulation, and desensitizing them to triggers if necessary. The Ultrasonic Dog Bark Deterrent Device may be an answer to some situations but patience and training usually have lasting impact without upsetting your dog.

Save your money this thing does not work...every time I tried to use it I pointed it at my dog and he just kept barking...
