I think what surprised me most was how sturdy and built they felt, yet were as comfortable as a pair of tennis shoes. They feel like a premium top shelf hiking boot, which is what they are. And they also look great, I've had more than 1 person ask me about them. Very satisfied. Highly recommended

I got these for my son. He stated the boots are the most comfortable boots he's ever worn. He also said they are warm and he loved the color and style.

Boots were extremely stiff and uncomfortable. No insulation inside to speak of.. I would not recommend

I'm going to start with what I don't like... these boots are a bit expensive. So to me the value isn't amazing. They are also quite narrow verses other boots I have owned. It isn't incredibly narrow, but enough to feel tight on the sides of my feet. A wider toe box is needed. Columbia, Vasque, Sorel's and just about every other brand I have ever used are wider. I like to wear wool socks that tend to be a bit larger as well and that makes it feel a bit tight despite ordering a half size larger. A wide version of this would be great, but there isn't one... The rubber compund is also very soft. Which has plusses and minuses. The negative is that it will wear fast on concrete, pavement or even the trail.That said, the compound should grip well on ice. The boots are extremely well made. Quality is evident. They are warm and look great. The materials are solid and the leather is top notch. Cushioning, lacing, and feel are also very good. The wrap around rubber is a nice touch. And these are waterproof.I won't know for some time how well these hold up. But for now they are a good option. Particularly with those who have narrower feet. If you have wide feet, there are better options out there for $150. To me, for that price, you can find better and wider winter waterproof boots. But I do think these boots are good quality. And they certainly aren't cheaply or hastily manufactured. 4 stars for me...Update 11/30/2024:I wore these for the first time in heavy snow all day long. They didn't leak or allow my feet to get wet... I spent some time on icy areas and didn't slip once. The traction is amazing. However... these are clearly not "winter" boots. My feet were freezing and I had wool socks on as always. These offer no insulation as claimed. My 15 year old Vasque Sundowners offer better insulation. And they are just hiking boots.So Im taking this review down a half star. You will need to double socks with these if you plan to be in the snow for several hours. So may need to size up a half size to do that. 3.5 stars. Of you are just going out around town in snow, and will be ice walking then this won't be an issue. But if you want to go into the snow for a few hours, know these are cold boots. Not Sorels by any stretch...

I received my boots today and I have to say that as soon as I saw the outer packaging, I knew the focus for this brand was on quality. The embossed Uovo logo isn't something you see on a basic shoe box and it was a sign of what I was in for next. The boots have a great look and feel to the touch. They fit true to my size (M-US12) and even though they're brand new, the flexibility and comfort were there from the beginning. I can't wait to wear these in the coming months when the temperatures drop and the snow falls. The traction on the soles will help on those icy days. Overall, I'm very impressed with the quality, fit and comfort.
