This thing is so big it covers our entire mobility scooter. And since scooters don't get along so well with the rain it provides us with some security if we get caught in a shower.

If you have little kids you know it’s hard to huddle under one umbrella. I easily fit under this with my two youngest. That said it does take up more room than my other umbrellas! I haven’t tested it in strong wind yet but will update if there’s an issue!

This is a large, seemingly well-constructed umbrella. The fiberglass ribs are lightweight and should be strong. The material used cover the ribbed frame is thin & water resistant. Pressing the button to open the umbrella is straightforward and requires moderate pressure. The umbrella opens smoothly and feels solid. There is a relatively thick spring at the top of the shaft. Closing takes a little more effort, you just need to make sure that you pull it all the way down to lock it back in to place. There is no leeway/slack as there is in other umbrellas, but this is a minor point. I don't know if there is a special coating on the fabric, but water just rolls off! Unfortunately, the weather has not been cooperating for me to test this umbrella more thoroughly, so I simply poured a glass of water directly on it. I was amazed to see the water roll off. No beading, it just slides off! There is a carrying case included so you can sling the umbrella over the shoulder.Initial tests are very promising, however, I had a similar compact umbrella that had water resistant properties and they seemed to wear with time. Age and more exposure to the elements will be a better test for this umbrella.

The umbrella is large enough for two person. I like the soft-grip handle and vented canopy/cover. The shaft seems to be very sturdy fiberglass. It's easy to open with a large button; one could say it might be too easy. It has a pretty tough resilient spring on it's runner.I am giving this as an average umbrella with the following recommendation of potential improvement:- the runner is plastic and may not last as long as it could if it was fiberglass or something strong like metal- the short ribs are plastic which make them flexible and they may have a longevity issue- the long rib are studier, but they seem to be plastic as wellThe product has potential to be great with some improvement as noted above.

I ordered this umbrella so I could walk my new rescue puppy outside in the rain on a leash without us both getting soaked. It's nice and big and will keep us both drier than when using my normal size umbrella.However, this umbrella is made of a lot of really thin and delicate plastic inside making up the frame. I don't have high hopes that this umbrella will last long. I will update if/when it fails. In the meantime, it is working fine: it expands nicely when you press the button and is fairly easy to pull closed. Time will tell with this one, but I give it four stars for now.

Just got my Urby Oversized Large Umbrella. This ain't no kiddie umbrella, that's for sure.The good stuff: It's probably the first super-sized umbrella I've ever had. My home and car are stuffed with pocket umbrellas, those little ones that pop open and expand and are barely large enough for one skinny person. This is a grown-up version of the umbrella. When I walk my 2 grandkids to school in the morning, all three of us will be able to stay dry.Also note that it comes with a carrying sling that you can wear over your shoulder; if it looks as if will will rain during your walk outside, you can carry the umbrella without having to actually hold the closed umbrella in your hand. Nice touch.There is no bad stuff here. It's an item that does what it's meant to do.My verdict: 5 stars. Can't wait for the next rainy day.

This umbrella is lightweight and easy to open and close back down. I had been living without a golf sized umbrella for a while, and taking my big down out in the rain was an exercise in futility trying to keep both of us relatively dry. I had a small defect in the first umbrella I received, but the seller was prompt with their response and handled getting me a replacement item very quickly. Good customer service!
