So lets start with the Basics. It's a USB "SWITCH" Hub. It's got 2 USB-A (Standard rectangular) ports on the back of it along with a TF Memory Card slot and an SD Card slot. On the front, it has 3 USB-A and a type C port for 5v DC Power. On the top, it has a single button with two LED's. We will get to that in a moment. Now, to start. I have a USB Keyboard with backlit keys plugged into it along with a wireless USB Dongle for my Razer Headset and Trackball mouse. With that being said, all three devices work flawlessly simply with the supplied power from my USB-A Slot on my laptop plugged in to the USB-A slot for Device 1 on the back of the hub switch so I don't need the added USB C to USB-A power from the front. And good thing because even though I have plenty of those cables, this hub switch did NOT come with one for this purpose and I'm calling that out to the seller because if a device might potentially need that extra power, it should be provided by default. Now, as for the hub itself, the two USB A to USB A cables are for connecting the switch to two different PCs. There is that button and 2 small LEDs on top of the unit as well. One LED is blue and the other is Green. Blue == Device 1, Green == Device 2. The button on the top determines which LED is lit, therefore which PC the devices will work with. So now, simply put for example, a mouse, a headset, and a keyboard can be plugged into one device, but work with one of 2 PC's with the click of a button. The device is solid metal, heavy duty and not cheap like you'd expect. It really does work flawlessly and I'm really glad I got the opportunity to get this through Vine when I did because it showed up at the perfect time for my needs.SOLID 5 for 5Oh did I mention that it's SUPER SMALL?

I have a desktop workstation as well as a laptop with a USB-C dock I use regularly, and wanted to be able to share my keyboard, mouse, and camera between the two. I had been using a different brand USB switcher, and when connected to my laptop running Win11, my devices would randomly drop off/disconnect and the machine would throw an error about the last connected USB device malfunctioning. Switching back and forth between the machines would let it re-discover the devices and they'd work again for a while. VERY annoying when you're in the middle of something and all of a sudden your keyboard and mouse just stop working for some reason. While this device is MUCH better (way fewer disconnects) after reading other reviews and searching around the web, for whatever reason I found launching Zoom would consistently cause my devices to disconnect. Same as the other switch, I press the button twice to switch back and forth and then everything starts to work again. What makes this better is that the devices don't t seem to randomly disconnect while working without Zoom. Still annoying, but at least now I know that launching that will guarantee a failure.Unfortunately I've tried most every trick/"solution" I could find with both the other switch and this one to no avail. Plugging the USB directly into the laptop instead of the dock, swapping cables, swapping ports for the machines as well as the devices, disabling power savings/settings in the device manager for my USB hubs and nearly any related devices, attaching the external 5v USB power.... you name it I tried it and it didn't fix it.I didn't really need the built in card readers, however having them right there I actually have used them a bit, and they work just fine.Unfortunately I don't think there's a USB switch on the market that I won't find this issue with, some magic combination of the hardware/controllers in the laptop and for whatever reason, using Zoom. Based on so many other happy reviews this seems like a small/isolated incident perhaps related to specific hardware or on board chips. If this solved all my problems I would give it the full 5 stars, but aside from that everything works great and I'm happy with the device. Press a button, swap up to 3 USB devices and memory cards. For the price I think it's great.

Though the years I've tried different solutions so that I can use two computers with the same keyboard and mouse. I've gone the KVM switch, but they are outdated and can be pricey. I tried a software based solution "Seamless" and that works "OK" but it was dependent on network stability and if there were any issues with the connection from one computer to the other, I was SOL. This product was shown to me for being part of Vine program, so I gave it a try. Below are some thoughts:* Works straight out of the box. No drivers, no fluff, true plug-and-play.* The most no-nonsense UI there is: just one button to select which computer gets the devices. super intuitive and impossible to mess up.* The unit is very well built. Tough materials and craftsmanship.* You can connect up to 3 different input devices to 2 different computers.* There's also a SD card and micro SD slot you can share with the computers, though I would be very careful switching from one computer to the other while the cards are in use as this could cause data loss or damaged cards.* There's a DC5V power input, but this is *not* necessary for 99.99% of computers and peripherals out there. My guess this was added for legacy USB reasons.Overall, it's an excellent little gadget and would happily buy it on my own dime.
