I tested these adapters with power display by putting them one after the other, in the middle of a 100 W power supply and a 100 W power bank which doesn’t get hot as it gets charged at 19 V 4 A (= 76 W). The voltage and amperage are displayed for 3 seconds each, then the wattage for 9 seconds, updated every half-second. I could not query an E-Marker chip on these adapters stating their maximum charging parameters, so they pass on the E-Marker data of any downstream cable. When measuring 80 W, they only get a tiny bit warm (about 40°C, or 104°F). I have faith in them not melting when transferring and measuring 240 W. The lack of E-Marker chip may cause trouble in future, because later USB Power Delivery (PD) standards may allow upwards of 500 W to be transferred by a cable, and that much could end up flowing through this adapter. Thankfully, at least the text 40G/8K 240W is written near the female connector to remind you that it can’t measure more than that.Within the pair I got, the calibration was only slightly different; amperage was similar and correct relative to a , and the calibration was only off by about 1%.The cyan LEDs used for display are really bright, and the dot (more like a comma, with how tall it is) used as a decimal separator is very visible. There’s a plastic protector on the USB Type C connector and a protective film all around the casing of the adapter, too, which I removed. And the plastic shell is very solid. Honestly, it’s one of my favourite USB Type C power display adapters so far, and I have tested a lot of them.

I feel like this is only a novelty gadget and let you know if a device is charging or not, the displayed power or voltage are both inconsistent and keeps jumping too much. There's no way telling if the device have been calibrated properly. Also I believe the pricing could reduce a bit.

I almost took a star off because this feels a little cheap, and they could have made it smaller and out of aluminum to feel more premium. But I'm just so happy to have an adapter that tells me how fast my old USB devices are charging that I’m still giving it five stars. It shows watts, amps, and volts, and it switches between them nicely and helpfully.
