This is perfect for what I needed. The dongles with a short tail have the most integrity and are better for long-term stable use. However, I don't often need this and only once in a while need it while traveling. For that, this is perfect because it takes up less space. Also, because the USB-C end is offset a bit, that means I can plug it into devices where that port is at the very bottom without awkwardly pushing one end of the device up. It also allows for extra space between a second USB-C port so that both ports can be used.

My Apple Cinema Display is in perfect condition, so I'm reluctant to replace it before it must be. Some solutions work with limited success or need multiple adapters to work. This was as simple as plugging into my Mac Mini's Thunderbolt cable and then my Cinema Display. No setup, just works and at the proper resolution. In the past some devices that "worked" didn't *really* work as they adjusted the resolution, forcing me onto my gaming monitor to see if that would would confirm a compatibility issue with the specific monitor (which it always seemed to be).No hassles with this straight forward adapter. Literally "plug and play".

length: 1.75 incheswidth: ~1 inchIt works, but with a random (but what I recall is a high quality USB-C cable), I can only get the a 2560x1440 resolution on my Ultrawide screen monitor. It's possible that the USB-C cable doesn't support 4K resolution, but I have a feeling this adapter might be the issue. I will have to order a 4K USB-C cable to confirm, so until I do, I can't give this a 5 star rating.

I recently purchased a Yoga 9i, which is super slim and portable, but when I travel, I often have a need to connect the laptop to the tv in the hotel to catch-up on shows, or use as a second monitor. I had a 6" dongle that worked for usb-c, but wanted something more compact so that it didn't take up too much space. This little guy is the answer, and works extremely well. I even love the fact that I can also connect it to my samsung phone and use DEX on the tv. This is an excellent value for the price you pay.

This adapter did exactly what I needed. I used it to connect both my laptop and my Galaxy tablet to an HDMI display, and it worked great. The picture was clear, the resolution stayed smooth, and the whole thing is small enough to throw in a travel bag without thinking twice.Just make sure your device actually supports video out through USB-C. It won’t work the other way around—HDMI to USB-C isn’t supported, and there’s no charging pass-through. That might trip people up if they’re expecting something universal.Still, for casting from a phone, tablet, or laptop to a bigger screen, this is a solid pick. It’s affordable, portable, and reliable once you understand the setup.

Worked well to connect my android phone to my car's entertainment screen.Wish it had a keychain or lanyard loop. It's easy to lose.

This is the smallest USB to Ethernet adapter I own. Its dwarfed by my next smallest adapter (see photo). You have to supply the USB cable in addition to the Ethernet cable, but to my mind that is an advantage. I've had USB adapters where the integrated cable has flexed one too many times to the point of losing connectivity. With this adapter, any cable you use can be replaced if it ever fails. Also, you can connect it to either a USB-A or a USB-C port, depending on what type of USB cable you choose to use.The performance is on par with other Gigabit adapters - I get full speed over my gig-speed connection. The device driver offers only a subset of the advanced comm settings that the drivers for a PCIe or motherboard based Ethernet adapter typically offer, but the settings are adequate for general networking. This adapter is a natural for travel, due to its compact form-factor.

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆For $14, the **MIXVIRGO USB-C Female to HDMI Male Adapter** is a handy little niche tool—**but only if you know what it’s designed for**. This adapter takes **video output from a USB-C source**, such as a laptop, phone, or tablet with **DisplayPort Alt Mode**, and pushes it to an **HDMI display** like a monitor or HDTV. It supports up to **4K at 60Hz**, so your content looks crisp and runs smooth.Important note: **this does NOT convert HDMI to USB-C**—it’s a one-way street. If you're trying to use an HDMI source (like a game console) to display on a USB-C monitor, **this won't work**. But for those who want to mirror a USB-C device onto a bigger HDMI screen, this is a cheap, reliable option.**Pros:**- **4K@60Hz support** for clear, high-refresh visuals.- **Affordable price** for a video-out setup.- **Compact and lightweight**—easy to stash in a laptop bag.- **Great for presentations or streaming from USB-C devices.****Cons:**- **Only works from USB-C source to HDMI display**—not reversible.- **No power passthrough or charging support.**- **Not compatible with all USB-C ports**—must support video output (DP Alt Mode).- **Can be confusing for casual users** due to limited use case.Overall, if your goal is casting from a modern USB-C device to an HDMI screen, this adapter gets the job done cleanly and affordably. Just don’t expect it to work in reverse.
