I'm 5"9 and 165 lbs. im usually an A1 in most gi brands, have a couple of A2's but they always are too big. I got an A1 of this one in blue and had to return it. The pants fit perfect, but the top was too small, I was barley able to close it and it rode up in my armpits hardcore. Sucks cuz I really liked this gi

I purchased this GI wanting something nicer than my 1st GI for BJJ. I am 5’9 180 lbs athletic build and went with the A2.5 in size. It was huge on me before washing. I washed the GI and dried it. The GI shrank down to the perfect fit. It will shrink a lot if dried. So do not chance it if you like the fit when it first arrives.I have only used it for one class. The GI seemed a little hotter than my previous. Overall I like the look and feel of this GI over my cheaper 1st. It does seem harder to grip than my previous GI. I will try to update down the road on the performance. Overall I am happy with my purchase.
