My intention was to paint my catalytic coverter heat shield with VHT high temerature paint. I started by painting the shield with VHT high temperature primer that I purchased from my local Autozone. I had to buy the red paint online because it was out of stock in the store. I purchased a can from this seller on Amazon. I sprayed the red paint over the VHT primer and within 15 minuted the paint lifted off the primer and cracked completely. The paint would not adhere even to the VHT primer underneath it. The results were the worst I've ever seen even with far cheaper paint. I paid $24.63 for a can of paint that was unusable by any standard of usability. My advice to potential buyers. Dont waste your money.

I wanted to give this product a shot even though some of the reviews aren't good. I followed all of the instructions throughout the entire process from sanding, de-greasing, applying primer, applying paint, and baking. (I did the baking step with the header installed on the car)After baking the paint was holding up and was keeping its color. About 8 days after it began to turn a slight greenish/yellow color and around the 12th day the paint began to chip.I wouldnt recommend this paint for your headers, it doesn't last and since it is chipping i occasionally get a burning smell in the car.

Very disappointed in this paint - didn't last.Bought the whole process - primer, paint and coating - and it didn't even last a couple of months. It started to burn off the sides of my muffler, and the black turned a grey color after a while. The color looks burnt. Was a lot of time and money to put into trying to keep an exhaust system looking good, and now I'll have to strip this off and go with another brand of flameproof coating.
